Myth: Flasks of Firewater are NOT equal to Spiked Eggnog

I had read in several places (guildwiki.org being one of them) that Flasks of Firewater (which are redeemable for 10 Victory Tokens) gave the same effect as Spiked Eggnogs.

That is partially true - Flasks DO get you drunk immediately after drinking one, but the first one you drink only gives you one minute toward the Drunkard title.

The first Spiked Eggnog you drink, on the other hand, automatically gives you three minutes towards the drunkard title.

Just a warning for you aspiring Drunkards out there that were looking to score some Spiked Eggnog equivalents this weekend...

The "Maxe Use" needs to have a stipulation added to it, or people won't understand what it means. I can't edit wiki, so someone else needs to do it.

It clearly states that it only gives 3levels of drunk, and 5 is Max Drunk. Is the problem that the Max Use refers to the Max Use you can get out of one? in that case there is nothing wrong because as it CLEARLY states here...

So after you drink 1 every ONE you drink after yields 3min. wich would be the "Max Use" from 1 Firewater.

Because people will read a block of text, not the little box that has the info summarized? Why do you speculate everyone thinks Spiked=Firewater?

Public resources need to be as explicit as possible to prevent threads such as this.

Old news. Surprising how that was never corrected. They've been that way since they were introduced.

I say leave it be. I mean, if someone wants to change it, go ahead. But I don't see it's necessary, especially since the pages about specific alcohols is the last place you should be looking. It states clearly on the drunk page that firewater only gives 3 minutes, and that page should be the first one you read if you wanna go for drunkard.
