In comparison to the ToF build I use this build with an axe warrior and a MM.
[skill=card]Aggressive Refrain[/skill][skill=card]Disrupting Throw[/skill][skill=card]Barbed Spear[/skill][skill=card]Vicious Attack[/skill][skill=card]Anthem Of Flame[/skill][skill=card]Blazing Finale[/skill][skill=card]"Go For The Eyes!"[/skill][skill=card]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
With Aggressive Refrain being in constant use due to the recurring uses of GfTE and AoF. GfTE keeps energy up as well as the use of AoF, and the use of GfTE repeatedly keeps AR up indefinitely(Or until the battle stops for a long period of time).
With Command being at a dominant 14, GfTE has a 72% chance of causing a critical hit all across the team within earshot. The burning is rather constant, the chance of DW is drasticly increased and the Paragon performs as an interupter on par with a Savage Shot equiped ranger.
I have also mixed this build with a R/P using [skill=card]Anthem Of Envy[/skill] and a 2nd application of GfTE.
Give me your opinion of the build, or ask for any info that you feel needed to explain anything else. FYI, I use Centurion armor with a Radiant Chest and Leggings, Prayer Of The Forgotten and Shagu's Anthem. I have a Minor Leadership,Major Vigor, Vitae, and an Attunement rune. 1 rune to go before the armor is complete. I'll update this thread depending on questions and needed info.
Aggressive Spear Commander Build

not that its the end of the world or anything, but no elite? i know the para doesnt have the most impressive selection with this regard but id think any elite could be of some use. maybe
[card]Focused Anger[/card] or [card]Cruel Spear[/card]
i know focused is bugged, but its still double adren. and cruel shouldnt be to hard to nail on casters (warriors can be a little tougher, but not impossible). then again i use vicious spear myself. i dont like disrupting; even with burning and bleeding flying around, i dont like to rely on conditional interrupts. but thats just my preference. if it works for ya, run with it.
other than that, you've got all the bases covered: aggressive refrain, GFtE, and AoF should be on about any para bar ya make.

I could use CS instead of VA, but it isn't actually better, since I don't intend to let something live longer than 16 seconds if I can help it. If/when I find an elite of better utility for the build, it may very well evolve to using it. I use DT because it puts my Paragon into a position similar to a Ranger, and since I am causing constant conditions throught the build,it is almost always useable.

with 14 in command I dont understand why you dont use a command elite, the best choice is probably Incoming(even though it has been nerfed) but you can also use Anthem of Guidance or Crippling Anthem...
that is if you dislike all the leadership and spear elites I mean...

I'd signifigantly lower command in favor of hitting breakpoints on Anthem of Flame and Blazing Finale while still mantaining high spear mastery.
Something like
12+1+2 Spear
10+2 Leadership
8+1 Command
Something like
12+1+2 Spear
10+2 Leadership
8+1 Command

There's no reason not to run cruel spear in that build tbh. I'd drop the whole barbed/disrupting combo (it's really not that good) and put in cruel spear and that 10 energy spear attack with the 1/2 second activation.

It allows you to chuck out high-adrenaline skills without batting an eyelid. It actually makes taking Hexbraker Aria vaguely worth doing (in areas where hexes are used a lot - THK / Vabbi, in areas of "dense foliage" (mirage ibogas) / Nahpui Quarter, if you stat with the Phoenix.

^ true true focused anger is a good choice....
this build is not far off from the ones being used in the top guild battles last night... with the exeption of losing blazing finale for a heal and changing around the spear skills....(with CS)
this build is quite common in gvg (at least it was last night)
[card]aggressive refrain[/card] [card]"go for the eyes!"[/card] [card]spear of lightning[/card] [card]barbed spear[/card] [card]cruel spear[/card] [card]anthem of flame[/card] [card]leader's comfort[/card] [card]resurrection signet[/card]

The basics of the build are that the Paragon acts as a battle commander, standing in the center of the torrent of enemies and issuing orders to keep the battle going well for his party.
The talk of elite is understandable, and I normally would agree that an elite could only make things better, but in the current paragon elite climate, it doesn't make my build any better at all. Monsters don't do to much standing still, except warriors who are trying to kill you. I have built massive adrenaline with AR+GfTE+AoF. And with GfTE almost always active and a high command attribute, the chance of critical hits are amazingly high. Hence, why I use VA.
If you notice this from practical use of the build and similar facsimiles of said build, 2 chants/shouts are needed to keep energy high and AR up constantly.
Blazing Finale is to keep the groups burning, but in PvP, it wouldn't be needed since no one with sense/skill bunches up except during a retreat. Also, the need for a 16 in spear is not even worth really discussing in this build, since the fact that I can say 75% of my attacks do critical dmg at 12 in spear mastery, which is what I run the attribute at.
Although slight alterations to the build can be made, like for instance [skill=card]Anthem of Envy[/skill] for [skill=card]Blazing Finale[/skill], these alterations are minor and only change by the command paragon's motivations. Either total group pressure, or total group damage output, or total group defense boosts. I'm glad for the responses.
BTW, as for the combo of Barbed/Disrupting, that is a personal preference. I have been party to battles with 2 monk bosses bouncing heals off of each other. In this type of situation, the use of a second interupter can be the key to victory, that and I like that sidearm style spear throw that I do when I use it. It's so freaking awesome. However, many can find different attack skills to replace what I currently have in use, but to say it is a weak combo is all opinion. The fact is that it is viable within the build and most of its hybrids. Do you have to use them, no, but they don't take away from the build in the least.

In his last paragraph he gives the runes and armor. The rest you can figure from the 14 command and the skill set.
