If I re-do a completed mission, will I still get another 1,000 experience?

No. You can however, redo the mission to get the bonus/masters is you want it.

The rewards for each campaign are a little different. If you complete a mission in Prophecies you get a reward for beating it for the first time, and a reward fthe first time you get the bonus. If you complete a mission in Factions or Nightfall, then it depends on your score. You get a reward once for completing, once for expert, and once for masters. (Or a combination of the three if you do well on your first shot)

Does that make sense to you?

No. You won't. It was bugged like 2 years ago so you did, but not anymore.
If you don't complete the bonus/masters the first time, but you do the second time, you WILL get the additional bonus for that.
