Can I Gain Survival Title, even if I died once?

Can I gain survivor title even if I died once on my character?
Let's say I earn the 140,600xp needed for survivor level 1 but didn't die, although I died once BEFORE I tried to get the title. Is it still possible to get survival title?

Nope, once you die that's it. You can't get any of the levels if you didn't already or advance anymore within the title.

Once you get the first level you get to keep it, but you can't advance once you die.

Ok I just wasn't sure, well, this sucks, lol :P. I can never get survival title .

I'm going for Legendary Survivor. If you decide to try for it again I go by this one cardinal rule that has saved my arse on more than one occaision:

Know when you're out-matched

If it looks like you're being whooped by the enemy: You are.
Response: RUN! Run away as far as you need to.

This was easy for me as a ranger as I always took Troll Unguent, Whirling Defense and Stormchaser which made escape very easy.
