Where would be the best place to farm max dmg gold katanas?

The easiest route would be just to craft one at Kaineng Center. Sure it doesn't have the glimmering gold text but it still has perfect stats.

This isn't runescape, or WoW. Multiple things drop different weapons. That's just the truth. True there are certain things that only drop from one source, like say Dead swords. (Actually I'm not sure, but I've only seent hem drop from undead) Everything else that I know of drops randomly. It's not like crappy crappy RS where there's only a select few drops for every enemy.
In fact, I killed a few ice imps and got a fire staff, focus, and wand.

Chaos axes, Eternal Bows/Shields, Ghostly Staves, Shadow Shields/Staves/Bows/Swords and Stormbows, only drop in UW, FoW and Tombs
Magmas Shields and Magmas Arms (though the skin isn't as rare) only drop from titans. (Or the chests around them ofcourse)
High damage Sephis axes only drop from Undead, same for dead bows/swords/staves.
Colossal swords appear to drop only from corsairs and chests in DoA
There are probably a few more on this list....
To the OP: if you really want a golden one, I suggest u go kill the jade brotherhoods on that list, they are fairly easy.
Just go outside marketplace into wajiuun bazaar, and there should be 3 jade brotherhoods over there, and 3 a bit further.
With Ripostes, dolyak signet and Gladiators defence it shouldn't be that hard to kill them.

Gold text is highly over-rated, 5k blue 15^50 katana ftw.
If you're so broke you can't afford 5k I suggest you read the warrior or necro sticky threads for places to make easy money. You should be able to earn at least 5k in an hour, probably more like 10k.

Yeah I knew there was more, but I don't farm for specific items, I farm for quantity and the occasional gold.
