How do you kill Doppleganger on a Rit?

When I did it, I think I used serpent's quickness, a bit of channeling, and doom. He was dead in a about 10 seconds.

pack slow useless spirits on the left side of the bar. take warrior secondary. bring frenzy. dont use frenzy. get a wep attribute high. kill him while he casts spirits. maybe he will even use frenzy.

Vengeful Weapon + Weapon of Remedy works ^.^ If mesmer secondary, empathy is nice... all you really need.

ive always packed all the damage spirits you can get and consume soul for my elite.
you set up spirits - he sets up spirits - and then you run to him - stand next to him while your spirits are pounding him and consume his spirits to heal yourself. he doesnt run of to consume your spirits neither does he consume his. youre constantly getting healed while taking down his offence.

I went in as spirit bomber and took him out, with bonus. I did take some damage from his spirits though.

I took Restoration, Spirit Rift, Soothing, Earthbind, Displacement, Disenchantment, Essence Strike, Lively Was Naomi.
While the doppleganger creates spirits, I'm blasting with SR and my staff. His spirits die quickly from SR.

Don't make it too complicated. Just let him start casting his spirits go a little bit back and set your spirits. When you don't run to him, then he will run to you.. and your spirits..I got also the bonus with this method.

I just loaded up the old Vengeful Was farming build.
The dobbelganger has no clue what to do with build and usualy drops the ashes to attack after spamming the other spells.

imho the easiest way of killing is being Rt/Me
the skills you need are Backfire, Empathy and a few Rt-Skills which are useless in one vs. one, such as Life
just cast Backfire and Empathy and then watch with pleasure how the Doppleganger kills himself within a few seconds

I just took a bunch of useless item spells, made him hold them and wanded him to death with splinter weapon and nightmare weapon

there are so many options, rit is probably the easiest profession to beat dopple with... you can always take a necro secondary and bring only health sacrificing skills and let dopple sac himself to death, or a mesmer secondary with empathy+backfire+short cast spells but you can also just play it as a rit without a secondary profession.
make your dopple a spirit bomber and use his spirits to deal damage to him, use various item spells with brutal weapon and kill him while he sits idle with his item in his hands or just bring a lot of long cast time spirits and pound him to death while he wastes time casting them
all of the above work, the dopple really is no challange for most classes, and especially the ritualist :P

Take only Vengful Weapon.
But to clarify a point that no one seems to mention ... and for anyone who has not done this before ... apply vengful weapon as often as erquired and here is the key ... run over to your dopple and stand next to him and DO NOT ATTACK him.
Just let him hit you when you have vengful weapon on. Since he has Vengful weapon as well, if you hit him he steals life from you. So just stand there like an Idio-t and it will be over in less than 45 secs.
