It's odd that even an extremely high end machine isn't allowed to render full resolution on armors in town. The typical low spec town resolution on another player's 15k armor ruins the appearance entirely.

I can understand not toggling this option by default but I'd really appreciate a new graphics option above Highest Quality, maybe "Ultra Quality, be warned".

I would happily sacrifice a few of my 200fps to see high res on other people's armor in town.

ive been there many a time when people run up and say "WOW whered u get that armor can you come outside and show it me?" im usually happy to ablige, it would be easier if it were visable in towns. so i can see the good in this from that point of view.

But perhaps instead of showing EVERY armor in full detail, how about when you click on a person their armor comes into full view, or perhaps if you party up with them in a town or outpost their armor comes into full view. Saves on your fps a bit too.

But imagine trying to load up a place like LA during haloween just before the king appears in dist1.

If you bought a high-end computer, you should be able to use it.

I myself have a pretty high-end computer. However, it suffered heavily during the festivals, and I'm 100% confident that my computer would explode if higher-res textures were on every single character.

I was just going to recommend this until I saw your post out of the corner of my eye.

I agree with the click because that would be much more convenient on both sides.

/signed provided its optional. Its not like there will be any change in bandwidth use unless the low res versions don't send over complete dye information. And if the dye is slightly off for other players in town, would you really care ?

I agree, it's not that big of a deal, just put in an option that you can turn on/off to display them or not.

/signed. If your comp can handle it, the option should be there (off by default).

Some people DON'T have high end PC's so leave them at peace.
There's already lag enough to go with.
