I am looking into getting a laptop and just as I thought, I might want to play GW on it. Would one with a ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 or NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 work or even which would be better? I can't find the incompatible hardware page and I would like some opinions if anyone has any.

Unfortunately both of those video chipsets are quite underpowered for gaming. In general, if the second number in the GPU series is less than "6" it's not a gaming GPU (ex., 1600, 6600, or 7600). Unfortunately, most laptops equipped with decent gaming GPUs tend to be significantly more expensive than the typical "business" models.

It would help to know what you want to pay for your laptop, if it's in dollars, specify canadian or american plz. That way people could tell you what kind of system you would be able to get. Also i agree that a GPU with a 2nd number less than 6 is underpowered for gaming, something like a GeForce 7200 or 7300 is enough to play GW but don't expect a good framerate.

I live in Canada so Canadian dollars is what I buy with. It's mainly for work but I would like one decent enough to run GW at least 15+ FPS on Medium settings. My price range is under $1300 CAD

Seeing your price range, going for a DELL might be a good idea, they don't have the best computer's but they are decent enough. Although you'll probably end up with shared video memory, getting 2GB ram will compensate, you won't get things like anti-aliasing but the game will still run smoothly enough. HP also has a few decent models. Basically, shop around compare prices and components also feel free to post what you find here for feedback.

I was looking around google and it seems that the Radeon X1400 is a medium graphics card for laptop gaming. But, so far, the lowest price I can find for one that includes that card is $1600. But, I will continue to search!
