You know, I've been kind of surprised that for the necro there's the dandy attribute called Soul Reaping... why not Soul Reap? I looked up in the search, well.. all I got was the attribute.
So here's the skill.

Soul Reap: 10 Energy, 2 second casting, 10 second recharge.
Exploit target enemy corpse and gain 5...30 health and 1...5 energy. When that foe resurrected, that foe is only resurrected with 25...10% health and 10...5% energy. 50% chance of failure if under 7 Soul Reaping attributes.

ADDED:
Maybe for the animation, it could have a little reaper floating above the corpse and slashing the air indicating the soul was "reaped".

i kinda like it but i think you should think how it would be applied

I did not indicate it as an elite... so I don't think it is... should it be?

Yes, yes, people will use it right after they kill a dude and that's kind of the purpose......
Maybe I should add 50% chance failure under so many Soul Reaping... I'll add that now.

Maybe make the "When that foe resurrected, that foe is only resurrected with 25...10% health and 10...5% energy." part last for a certain amount of time?

Well, the soul is "reaped" and therefore uuuhh... that guy's "soul" ain't coming back really =D So I do not think a timer would be a good addition. Besides, you need 7 soul reaping, not like a warrior is going to pull that off.

Even though there are skills that say "target corpse", there is no way of actually targeting an enemies corpse, so they usually just exploit the nearest corpse.

So it should be "Exploit nearest enemy corpse..."

Well, I mean, you'd see Necros casting this as soon as their SR appeared, and that means that the next time you're ressed, you're almost guarenteed to die.

I think they would (if they made this) would take out the res Un-bonuses (lol) and stick in, a body has to be 15....5 seconds old and they cant be rezzed for.... like 30 seconds.. and increase energy gain to about 10

Perhaps to clarify the details, rework the skill a touch:

Soul Reap
Skill. 10/1/30
For 5..35 seconds, your Soul Reaping attribute is boosted by 0..2 and any foes being ressurected by allies within targeting range of yourself ressurect with only 70..40% of the health and energy that they would normally.

It being a "Skill" means it's self-targeting and can't be stripped, hence earning elite status. I suppose the best way to think of it is as an action-oriented alternative to Frozen Soil. The "by allies" is added so that you can't camp a res shrine, that is, res shrine resses aren't penalized.

if there was ever a pvp only type skill, then this would be it. there is probably only a 2% chance of this skill ever being useful in pve. i can see this one being abuse as soon as (and dont quote me here --->) "There is a new build of Guild Wars. Please exit and restart the game" message appeared, especially if it ends up being stackable.

I wanted it to be used only on bodies, not on yourself...

Chant 5 energy 1 casting 15 recharge

For 1...30 secs resurrections skills within hear range cost twice time to cast and cause bleeding for 1...10 seconds.


Well of the Reaper (Soul Reaping)


5 energy 1 casting 30 recharge

Hex Well spell, for 5..20 seconds if target dies his corpse will exploit creating a well of the reaper. For 8...18 seconds, foes cannot be resurrected whithin the well of the reaper.

I love the well of the reaper idea, it would add another nice anti-rez aspect to the game other than Frozen Soil, which can backfire terribly.

Well of the reaper would indeed add a nice anti-rez skill to the game. Although i think it deserves to be a plain Hex Spell, the skill in itself not being a well. This would allow it to be striped and add some balance to it.

Also, seeing the number of concepts in the sort time this thread has been there, i believe this points out the lack of skills in the soul reaping attribute.

Soul Reaping is a weak line when not enough things are dying, and with this skill it still is. More skills like Signet of Lost Souls are what Soul Reaping needs.
As for this skill, it doesn't really fit in with the rest of Soul Reaping imo. It sounds more like Death Magic to me. It's like giving Illusion Magic a heal.
