LoD is way better than WoH.

There are certainly situations where WoH is useful. If you have a well established front-line that will be taking heavy damage, WoH does a good job of keeping everyone on their feet. One thing to remember though, if the player's health isn't below 50% you aren't getting any bonus healing out of WoH. If that's your situation most of the time, then you've wasted your elite skill because there are regular skills that will give you equivalent healing for the same amount of energy, and other elites that will work even better. There's also the issue that you can't self-heal with WoH, which usually means you have to bring some other skill along to keep your own health up.
Prior to Nightfall, it was rare to find me in a game where WoH wasn't on my monk's skillbar. Since Nightfall came out, I prefer LoD as my elite. For healing individual players I usually bring Ethereal Light, which heals about as well as WoH when the target is above 50% health.
Another thing to keep in mind is, "Why would someone be at 50% health anyway?" Either that one player got spiked and everyone else is fine, in which case you can afford a couple regular heals to get them back in the action. Or the player is a dufus, in which case they deserve what they get. Or, the player got spiked and everyone else is NOT fine. And it's this last case where LoD really shines, since you can punch it a couple of times and quickly get the whole party out of danger. Add to this that the devine favor bonus is always applied to the caster, and it ends up being a decent self-heal as well.

LOD FTW its always the 1st skill on my skill bar when i play healer

LoD + Holy Haste + 2x20% HSR Heal. I used that a lot in FoW, both hard and normal mode. It's great to heal if someone gets out of healing range, and there's less risk mobs comes running for you next time they break off from an AoE :P

LoD is far superior to WoH. Especially with the intoduction of HM, monsters won't concentrate on a single tank.
ZenRgy
LoD much more effective (doubles as a self heal and full party heal if things get a bit out of hand)
Word of healing is a conditional 200~ point heal, I'd much rather bring Heal Other.

for pve i prefer LoD with holy haste. mostly because its the prots job to prevent mass spiking

Oldschool WoH is awesome in pve still...

Depends on what the other monk is running...
I usually run Dunk with LoD and heal bar (orison, dwayna, heal other) when I run ZB prot with GoH.
Generally both are quite nice. personally i dont use WoH much, but tend to give it to my heroes, and a lot of other monks are using it anyway, so then i just fix my build to complement that. But in a two monk backline its really not a question of which one, you'll generally want one big heal and one party heal anyway... Course that opens up for a lot of other skills ^^
