would recommend a 5/1 vamp, i prefer the short bow for the better r.o.f.
Spirit Strength: 63 seconds +33 damage while under weapon spell
Vital Weapon: For obvious reasons. at communing 6 = 27sec duration +94hp
Ignite Arrows: for 24seconds arrows explode on contact dealing (11) dmg to target and adjacent foes.
couple general bow attacks, whatever you like thats managable energy wise. I typically just use determinded shot and penetrating attack.
And thats the basis of it, rest of the slots can be used for whatever you need, hard rez, cover enchant, etc.
With vital weapon being the only communing skill, i dropped the attribute enough to make VW's duration close to that of ignite arrows, thus making the task of recharging these skills easier (they both run out about the same time). All in all you get a damage bonus of 44 to your normal attacks w/ the 3 base skills up. Of course if you spam bow attacks too much you may start to run low on nrg, just make sure you've got enough left to recharge the skills when the time comes.
Anyway, came about this after playing around w/ using barrage and splinter weapon. Which is great, but you can start to run a little low on nrg fairly quickly, and in pve the groups don't always cluster together nice a pretty for you. This was just something i put together to be a little more well rounded for general use in pve. It doesn't spike as hard, but it does take pretty good sized bites out of your target, and you can keep dishing it out all day without energy concerns.
