I will be playing GW and every once in a while my GW Client will minimize and a Microsoft Error Report Window pops up saying my "Catalyst Control Center Host Application has encountered a problem and needs to close." The gamewill continue to run fine along with everything else. This is simply a minor annoyance.
Current Machine Specs are:
Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
2GB of Kingston PC3200 DDR
ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB (7.2 Driver)
Catalyst Control Center Annoyance

Im getting that every time too since I installed the 7.2 drivers
I have an ati radeon 1950xt 256mb. What seems to work is to just bring up the task manager and close the ccc there. That is obviously just a remediation. I sure don't want to keep doing that.

I'd suggest you uninstall the Control Center. It's pretty much just annoying bloatware, and it isn't a part of the driver itself.
If you actually do use its features though, I'd suggest looking into using ATI Tray Tools instead. It has pretty much all of the useful functionality with minimum overhead.

Get rid of CCC right away. Its a resouce hog and an really annoying one at that.
My computer was insanely slowed down when it was installed.
Uninstall it and install ATI Tray Tools.
It does the same thing and more and uses barely any resouces at all.

I guess you mean this version:ATI Tray Tools
I had the same problem CCC was minimizing GW and after that it started CCC. Quite annoying when you are in a intensive battle.
Hope this solves the problem. Thnx Firebat

Thanks
CCC really sucks...I thought the 7.2 drivers made them a little better since it was stated that in the change notes that they made CCC faster. They still suck
