Hi,
I have been a little burned out on WoW after playing off and on since December 2004.
I tried Vanguard, but the graphics and gameplay were just not up to my standards of immersion and atmosphere.
The screenshots of Guild Wars look fantastic, so I decided to buy it this morning at walmart.
My 56k is slowly updating, so I have started seeking out the RP community while I wait.
Any advice here on finding RPers? A specific server of some type perhaps?
New to Guild Wars, seeking Roleplayers:

I have to say, I'm somewhat confused.
Welcome to Guildwars anyhow.
If by "Roleplayers" you mean other humans to play with you either need to use the Party Search box (a new addition to GW since the release of Nightfall) or stand in an outpost and search for a group by using the chat window.
Having never played WoW myself I dunno what you're used to...hence my confusion.

Roleplayers are players that basically go into character, A good example is the warrior, especially wammo, the player behind it would act like a person with a very low iq but that kills things fast, so in other words they act and the characters they are playing decide which role they have.
To OP look in guild index on this site, as there is no real place where the roleplayers hang out,Good luck and welcome to Guildwars.

I see, thank you Xenex.
To the Beaver, I speak of players who "roleplay".
It's like improvisational acting and story telling. They create a character, like an author would when writing a book, and assume the role of that character with other players with their own characters in the game.
It's just a way to add an element of creativity to the gaming experience, and it's most definently not for everyone.

Hey evilknick. A lot of RPers hang out in the International districts. A lot of RP tends to happen in Guild Halls though, so getting into a RP guild is a good idea. There's quite a few around, check out the Guild Wars Roleplayers Association to find some that might suit you.
