Mesmer/Axe Warrior

Well I decided on an Axe Warrior (could change to sword for that Spell Sword feel) for my MeW but where do I go from here for a good PvE MeW?

Currently I'm a level 5 MeW still in pre-searing with all the warrior and mesmer skills. My current skill bar consists of the 6 mesmer skills excluding the Remove Hex one and the 2 Axe skills plus healing signet.

At the moment I have an equal amount of points (give or take) pumped into Domination, Illusion, Fast Cast, and Axe Mastery (2 pts each I believe).

What skills should I focus on getting in Post-Searing for both Mesmer and Warrior and is my current Attribute distrubution any good?

Suggestions?

As of now, take points out of Fast Cast. You really don't need that until you start using interrupts. Instead, place your odd points you get in later levels into this skill.
A few points in Tactics wouldn't hurt. Without points in either Tactics [H Sig] or Inspiration [Ether Feast], you're short on healing. Plus, Tactics will grant you shields later on.
When you get into Searing, try to obtain Sprint. It should replace Imagined Burden for PvE. Also work on getting Penetrating Blow from the Into the Breach quest. It's a 4 adrenaline skill that does extra damage with armor penetration. If you position your Cyclone Axe correctly, you can probably get it off very often.
Searing is also filled with some early quests that provide you with very good axes [well, at that level] as rewards. I believe it was 5-12 [req 3 Axe Mastery], and there are two quests that grant these.
Illusion of Weakness should be equipped as soon as you receive it.
Later, you can probably go for an IW build. Cyclone Axe works beautifully with it. Plus, you have Distracting Blow and Disrupting Chop.

Remember, Cyclone Axe gives you one adrenaline for every enemy you hit with it. Position yourself well, then spam it to power Executioner's Strike.
Always open up with Conjure Phantasm. It's a really good spell, and can make up for that Sever Artery you're missing.
