Hero weapons after armor upgrade

Does anyone know if Hero weapons get customized when you put on say mysterious armor upgrades?
It seems they might as now some of the weapons are worth $0 and I can't sell them.

All hero starter weapons can't be sold. I'm pretty sure that anything you give them can be taken off and sold at any point.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the confusion I had a gold weapon on him and a grape shield both can't be sold now I didn't know if it was the armor upgrade that did or not.

Hmm...I suppose those didn't start on him then. Of course, I wasn't aware that Shields could be customized, so I'm not sure if it's a customization thing.

did you customized it? i do not believe that armor upgrade would do a thing.
