Random Arena Amercian Dist 1

Well,is it just me or everytime i go there,i hear people stupid talk?It is like all the racists,sexists ETC swarms there to talk rubbish and complete junk.It can rot ur mind,i tell u.

The German Dis 1 no different. Ignore the local channel and always leave it off.

Same as EU english 1, it's a no go zone.

I am really not sure why ANET doesn't police these areas....I mean come on we know they have GM's that can "mute" a person....someone does it for gaile all the time...lets have some GM's in the top 3 districts of Each Arena...to help achieve what GW is wanting...pve players coming into PVP....My son watches me play GW alot...but I can not do any PVP arenas do to the overwhelming crude talk....

This really isn't a question, more a rant / whine.

But all the Random Arena District are like that. People like to just stand about be use them as a chat room. Nothing new.

I think its funny, random arenas usually seem to be either talking about cake or politics the last few times iv been there.

Random arenas is kinda the sore thumb of Guild Wars.
The mode itself only points out certain imbalances, by proving that the right random setup in a team can be unstoppable regardless of how skilled both sides are. It proves that so much hinges around monks too. lol
The waiting stage where people sit are probably people fueled with angst, because they can feel that imbalance, and possibly they are still trying to unlock TA, which might be very frustrating.
Plus you got the leechers, rage quitters, ect.
It's just not the best place to show Guild Wars PVP aspect, yet sadly it's the first main PVP staging area many new PVP players will see.

I would volunteer to patrol RA districts....and report unneccessary behaviour to Anet...for a fee of course. Say.... £10 per hour? Please?

Great Temple of Balthazar isn't much better. Nobody there talks about the game, they all talk about various sexual/racist stuff. I can't give too many examples because of the variety of ages who will read this, but let your imagination go wild on it. It's probably been said before, keep that in mind.

Yeah i agree with the above, its all off topic stuff, and commonly racist/sexual. I know for a fact that many players between 5-10 play, but even for 12+, the language used is often discriminative and annoying. Anet, please can you do something else to the chat filters? Can you somehow record the chat that is going on, and make bans/mutes when neccessary? The amount of language that goes around is not a good sign for the whole game, so please do something about it

You know what else could rot my mind? Reading multiple posts a day, such as yours, butchering the English language.

I just turn off local and trade chat in those places, among other places. You'd be surprised at how much it actually reduces the unneeded spam, try it sometime

There's a thread in Riverside that is discussing this very subject. I thought we only had the problem on the american servers. I guess kids are asshats all over the world.

The sexist and racist speak is no worse than the abuse of the English language in forums these days.

Yeah, I always assumed all the a-holes were over here on the American Servers. Guess not, they're everywhere.

Call me a jerk, but it's actually quite entertaining to go there with a few alliance buddies and say things like 'all mesmers suck' to start a flame war.

i don't mind the trash talk...as long as its appropriate...but seeing someone spam "want to have cyber sex" or "looking for lapdance" has no bearing on the game and is not even remotely considered competetive chat.

And most peeps will think that it is young american teenagers that do this but I would imagine that it is really some wierd late 20 to earlier 30's freak .
