I was just wondering if it's possible to have two gw.exe files with different settings. I have two monitors and my second monitor can only support widescreen resolutions.
However, when I open my GW in my primary monitor there aren't any widescreen resolutions on the list.
I've downloaded this program that allows you to choose which application is opened on which monitor but it requires me to keep changing the resolutions depending on which monitor I want to play in. It's pretty annoying, and I'd like to know is there a way to have two .exe files in my desktop so that the other one would start with 1280x1024 and the other one would start with 1360x768. And I don't really want to install two GWs on my computer because that would waste space and it would be annoying.

You should be able to set up your monitors to use different resolutions in your graphics card settings, I can anyhow.

i dont' think he is talking about the monitors displaying the correct resolution...he means the game...if for example he plays it on monitor one and its 800x600 (in the game) and then later he wants to open it on a different monitor (monitor 2) and wants the game to load in say 1024xXXX resolution...he wants it to be automatic.

I would suggest doing a search for gw switches on this site...if there is one for resolution then just create 2 different shortcuts

EDIT

I did the search for you

didn't see anything useful in there for you tho...but still a nice read and maybe u can figure somethign different out.

Correct.

I already can open it in the monitor I want but it'll automatically change the resolution to 800x600 because that's the only resolution both of my monitors can support.

Having 2 exe files will not solve the problem, all the info is stored in the DAT. file, so you will have to have 2 dat file (2,9 G each) or change it manually
