Ele, and Monks can. Eles will use terra tanking stuff while monks will use 55 tanking stuff. Both also have skills to divert spells. Obsidian Flesh and Spell breaker. These skills have down times longer than they last but the guys there use Quickening zephyr and it affects you too. They also use famine. So how do we bring their energy down to activate famine? Round em up in one tight mob and use SV/AV. This drains there energy whenever those warriors hit you.

SoA - Prot Spirit - Spell Breaker - Av - Sv - Balthasars spirit - essence bond - Blessed aura
I usually go with 14 Prot and 14 Divine and rest in Illusion magic.

You might could do the Shadow Army out in Stygian, but the Touchers would eat you alive...

I don't think the Shadow Army in Stygian Veil uses Famine...

Im pretty sure that the City exit leads to the Veil. The name Stygian Veil will not show up on the map however.

I'm pretty sure the City of Tor'qua exit leads to City of Tor'qua. AFTER Lord Jadoth is killed, which is final objective in City, then a gate opens and team can proceed to Stygian Veil. The Stygian Veil exit leads directly to Stygian Veil.
You have confused City of Tor'qua with Stygian Veil, the latter being an area with deep trenches, with shadow army and Stygian Horrors, Golems, Tormentors, etc. City has the margonites that use famine and QZ.

Oh i see. I havent even made it past the first quest segment in mallyx yet. When I looked on wiki the map was the same as the City, so I asumed thats what it was. So is there a way to farm the Veil?

Yeah, there is a mob directly to the south of Stygian Spawn that is stuck and can not attack..
As long as you have a way of teleporting to an enemy/enemy corpse, you can farm it.

There are some stygian people walking in the trenches with one or two torment demons. You can hit them without getting hurt at all, unless by hexes from the torment demon. When they die you have a chance of getting the gemstone, you have to kill the golem or the demon to get the gem.
