Droks pass
Legandary Spartan
The pass from beacons to droks is crazyly-hard to run. All those monsters really make it so people that reach beacons (level 14 or so) can't fight thru it. Recently i tryed to fight from camp rankor backwards with henchie's hero's and a few groups of people with out any luck. To me this area is just taking up space and memory and is laggin me up because it's there. I don't see a point for it being there. If you don't want the pass run take it out of the game, don't make it too hard to run because then you can't fight thru it! Take the elites and put them some where in the shiver peaks. The only problem with taking it out of the game is the GMC title. I relise it's not cool to see a level 2 warrior with 15 glads, but i would find it highly intertaning, a memorible exprince, and something that would give me great joy in knowing im treking across some mountins as a level 14 monk. Fighting thru the desert as a level 15 monk was really...envolping in a strange way. To some it up i think it would be cool to acttualy be able to fight thru that area as the level you are when you get to beacons (14 or so) with out knowing it's impossible. Thought i should voice my oppinion here seeing as tho i saw it in the game, no one cares.

I agree, but alot of the people say that it would be taking away from the game-play. I think that if you have a character that has already ascended and you make a new character, then the mob control/lvls from BP to Droks should be lower so you dont have to redo everything that you did on a previous character.

I follow your meaning of the in-depth feeling you get when heading through a rather tough area but remember, the storyline goes through Kryta and the Jungle before it gets to Droks. Sure it would be easier to skip that whole side on a new char since you have already done it, but by that argument why do it again anyway?
I think ANet has found a workable solution to the whole thing of low levels running past 1/4 of the campaign whilst leaving the possiblity of runners still getting through. It is by far one of the more difficult runs but it IS possible.
If you are here to play the game, then play it. Don't go for the shortcuts just because "you've done it" before. Each char is different, rather enjoy the game as it is.
Just my opinion of course

You can fight down from beacons with henchies , if you cant do it with them, then get a groups of lvl 15 humans and try it.

Droknar's Forge is too hard to fight to from Becon's Perch with henchies or lvl 15 humans. You need high lvl heros or 20th lvl humans.
The reason for Lonar's Pass is to connect the lower shiverpeaks with the northern shiverpeaks. It helps with the Cartography title. The elites are before Lonar's Pass, and fighting upto that point is easy.
It doesn't take anything just having it there, you don't want to fight for your elites, don't get them. If you don't want to try to get from Camp Rankor to Becon's Perch, then don't complain about the difficulty.
The fight from Becon's to Camp Rankor is an astounding feet. They make it harder for runs because people are making money off of it far too much. Fighting your way gives you some sense of accomplishment and pride (monk says, "I did it! I fought my way through with only 25 dp! Woohoo!! I'm awesome!). No I never made the run at all. *sigh*

It is possible to fight your way down but it will require a group that is quick on their feet. If you are able to pull small groups out and kill them off then it is do-able but will take time.
As for the runners making money, yeah agreed they do make a bit of money but the charge today is a LOT cheaper from what it had been a while back

The Drok run had a degree of difficulty long ago.
Then it got easy with the Lt. Helm.
Then it got not so easy with the Lt. Helm downgrade.
Then it got a lot harder with the twink worm upgrade.
Then it got insanely easy when Dervish entered the picture (making Warriors completely obsolete).
So you are saying the run is too hard? I'm here telling you it's not if you are of the proper class combo and build. It's stupid easy. Go watch a video. The guys never stop running the whole time. They are able to run it faster now by themselves then even dual runners previously.
Yes it is hard for level 14's with henches to fight thru it. Darn near impossible. I won't dispute that. But why have the run available? BECAUSE it is a way for legitimate players to make money. FoW and 15K armor doesn't grow on trees, and sorry..
SORRY
but I refuse to support the gold farming sites.
Let a runner run, cuz until they learn to bot it, you're supporting a legit player.
