By the number of "omg's"; I'm thinking it might be a joke that everyone's getting in on.
Especially since it's that stupid longsword from the presear quest that has the crystalline skin, he must have got it before they made it look like a regular longsword.

If it was a staff member, I'm not sure how well that would go over. Like when some jerk stole Gaile's lion mask for her European account during the Canthan New Year. He tried to auction it on GWO and the thread got closed after about 50 pages of flaming all in one day.

Did it REALLY get stolen? If it was left on the floor it was hardly stolen as she would have to dropped it there and accepted the possibility that someone would pick it up. Not against the rules I think. I would pay for her mask.
