Alliance w/ Proph Campaign only?

It is my understanding that an alliance can only be formed if you can travel to Cantha, thus u would need the Factions campaign. However, if you were to temporarily assign leadership of the guild to a member that has the Factions campaign and have them forn the alliance, would the alliance still remain if the leadership was assigned back to the Prophecies only member?

I'm pretty sure that will work, try it.

That's how my guild did it when our leader didn't have factions yet. All you need to do is pay the 300 gold or whatever it was to align yourself either kurzick or luxon, then you can switch back to the original leader and they'll be able to form an alliance with any guild of the same faction.

It does work but you need to trust that person to give you the guild back.
