i think another upgrade purchase should allow accounts to buy collectors edition in game bonuses. rather than going out and buying collectors edition for 70 just to get like prophecies divine aura or signature dances and mini pets, just go to store and even pay the some of $20 difference would be better than having to buy outright. this would mean you miss out on soundtracks, pins, and art books.
just would like to purchase in game bonuses for people who own the campaign not wanting to spend a lot for just for in game bonuses.
me for example was short on funds when factions came out so got regular edition and missed sig dances and mini kuung. would like to just upgrade my factions campaign to get those.

I would love to see that implemented, but I don't think Anet will do that because the collector's editions are shipped in limited quantities. For instance, you won't find the CE for Prophecies in a store, you have to go to eBay and buy it for way more than it's worth. Since these are shipped in limited quantities, only the diehard GW addicts will pay an extra $20 for some more stuff. If everyone could just go and get the CE stuff later, it kinda cheapens the value of it.
This kind of gets me thinking: maybe Anet could do this, but only allow accounts made before or during the release of that CE. That way, some of the older accounts that may have missed out on the CE can still get it (no divine aura after 20 months?

This is out of the question for the three existing CE's that are officially out of print(out of print does not mean impossible to find in stores, it means no longer being produced). I wouldn't have a problem with them doing this for a limited time when a new campaign is released.

i actulally didn't know they were limited time offered. i just know that buying game early means have to rebuy for ce. but also with the ce you get other out of game items. and as said hard to get ce for older ones anymore bought factions close to day of release but b4 ce was out. and as for supporting anet suggested paying the differance for just ingame affects nothing shipped..
