Heroic Weekend Ongoing 6 March 2007
Bring your Heroes or recruit new ones this weekend, for they will get double XP while they are below you in level. Plus, you will have double the chance of acquiring Hero armor upgrade pieces in Dajkah Inlet, Remains of Sahlahja, The Shadow Nexus, and Gate of Anguish. The event will run from Noon on Friday, March 9 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.

hey nice new event idea! The hero xp thing is about as useful as double scrolls, but I wasted a lot of time last weekend doing hero armor challenge missions (and getting my technique down), so I can see many of my heroes sporting new duds with this one

edit: Silly Warrior, after doing many of the challenge missions over the weekend, I think there may be 2 things that influence drop rate: one is don't use 1 character on one challenge mission exclusively -- there's a school of thought that after so many armors per character per mission, the rate diminishes. The other one is, if you've been farming, some of the anti-farm *MAY* roll over (totally empirical and anecdotal), so either switch to another character or try to erase some of the anti-farm first

On topic: Anyway: I believe this weekend will be a great time for people to lvl up heros that they don't really care for (I hated lvling Goren up...) and out fit them with some new duds.

Honestly, a.net ran out of ideas for good weekend "events" a while ago. I'm impressed that they can keep coming up with something new, but I mean seriously, does anybody care?

This would have been a lot more useful a few months ago when we had to level heroes a lot more than we do nowadays.

I like it. My main's heroes are all maxed, but for my other characters? I got a bunch of heroes I never use, so they been sitting around. The fact that I got them before the update that made them all lvl15 may have something to do with that...
I can usually only be bothered leveling Koss, Tahlkora and Olias. Then I level whats useful, my ranger's got margrid and jin for bp, my eles have zhed and master of whispers for SF spam etc.

I know of one way to level up heroes HELLA fast, though it's not really the most convenient for most ppl.
Do titan source, put lowbie heroes in your group for the reward, bam 50k exp
Still, I never had a problem levelling up heroes, and I got them all before the min lvl 15 for foreigners, and for that reason the double exp is meaningless, maybe it's just a throw-in to make it more of a hero weekend. Again I say woot at double armors, though maybe this should be triple like the other green weekends

The double armor drops will really help out for places like Shadow Nexus and Remains of Sahlaja (Pac-man ftw). Also the experience boost should help my other characters get some heroes up to 20 fast since I got most of my heroes before the lv 15 boost.

Actually I'm kind of looking forward to this. My two main characters are going after all the heroes, getting them all perfect weapons and runes and such. The only thing I'm having trouble getting them is the elite versions of their armors. Which this will help with quite a bit.

In fact I cared enough to find out where the Shadow Nexus was. And then I found there was missing space on my Torment map. So I had to find out what that was and get there too.

I'm actually happy to hear about the XP bonus, too.
My Tyrian character has a lot of heroes that aren't 20th, yet, and I was actually planning on spending some time rectifying that this week. Now I'll just wait for the weekend and do it in half the time. Yay!

Sorry, heroes are already insanely easy to level up as it is. Weekend for the sake of having a weekend, in my opinion.

TBH..it's nice event..i have tens of heroes need to lvl up, and i hate to lvl up my pets or my heroes. This can put all my heroes in action fast

About weekend: I can finally get all my Ranger's heroes to 20. I have like 5 that are 18/19 and I'm too lazy to get the extra level.
