Just letting people know that a picture of the new mini pet is up on www.guildwars.com

IMHO its ugly as sin. Why can't we get something that looks decent with these PC gamer mini codes? Eh...maybe next time. I for one wont be buying the mag now.

I'm not too keen on him. cheekbones make him look a bit less cute than he could. But he's not horrible.

Hmm, perhase "Playable races include Humans, Charr, Norns, Asurians and Sylvarians." has a bit more credence?

the lowdown..

Players will get the opportunity to adopt a brand new, exclusive miniature, the Asura, by purchasing a copy of selected game magazines in North America and Europe. We've managed to capture an image of one of these elusive little creatures, and you can check it out here. The list of regional publications, and their shelf dates, is available here. Several of our media partners will be running more than one feature about Guild Wars, so we will expand the regional publication list to provide additional details as they become available.

Way too cutesy and cartoonish for Guild Wars. Doesn't bode well for GW2 at all.

They are getting ready for GW: The Animated Childrens Film, this guys gonna be the main characters side kick I hear... :P

Seriously though, it does look a bit out of place compared to everything else in GW so far. Guess will just have to see what ANet has in store for us...

pink Stitch? nah.. it's not THAT bad. Different races can be very cool as long as the quality of the character creation doesn't go down. If we end up having, say, 1/2 the amount of armor since they need to make a set for each race, that would blow..

That looks more like a creature from Star Wars than Guild Wars

Kinda cute though...I wouldn't mind having one, it's different.

This does confirm the existence of the race of Asurians, but I am still skeptical of it being a playable race.
It is an interesting turn for Anet though, we haven't really had any sort of fantasy style creatures before.

he actually reminds me of the little slave guy in Harry Potter. I forget his name and which movie it was.
