Anyone want 20k an Hour Mo/Me 55 style?

Anti-farm code kicked in. Don't be to quick to accuse others. I'm sorry to sound rude but no...you are wrong. I am very conscious of the anti-farm code at all times. I did about 5 runs at a time and then switched to something else. I used to rotate between things alot specifically to avoid that. And I farmed the mosses enough to know that the drops became crap.

And I was of the understanding that ele swords only dropped in NF too. Hence Why I called the shenanigans. If said shenanigans were out of order or offensive in anyway, I rescind the aforementioned shenanigans and add an apology for any offense taken.

Aryth anti farm code doesnt need to show up for your drops to start sucking. I am not talking about the anti farming message. Anti farm code just means the more you do it in a row the more it starts to suck. The anti farming message is something completely different if My understanding is correct.

Anyways just did about 5 runs and here is what I have found. With gold (money) dropping, selling everything to merch, and the occasional purple/gold drop also getting sold to merch (presupposing it is worthless) I am looking at about 600-800g per run. each run takes about 3 minutes starting from zone in but I will take into account loading times and stopping to sell off crap. So lets say 4 min a run.

Thats 15 runs per hour and lets call it in the middle for total money per run at 700g average per run.

700*15=10.5k/hour

While that is a nice little figure I cant agree with the OP's 20-25k an hour. And believe me I wish I could get 20-25k an hour because the dragon mosses used to be one of my favorite farms.

Please dont take my word for it solely. Test it out yourselves and post if you find contradictory views to mine.

Also you could land a r8 gothic dual axe 15^50 and that would net you a tidy sum. But that is irrelevant for this discussion.

Oh. And after 5 runs just now, I got 2 purple kris daggers, 17 dragon roots, about 20-25 spiritwood planks, and misc whites and money. I think the gold drop rate for this is very very low. I used to sometimes get 2 golds a run and the average was a purple and a spattering of blues per run.

Lol...two golds a run, I find that hard to believe. Not two golds a run. I said SOMETIMES I got two golds in one run. It happened more than once I know that. But that was before NF was even out.

On the preview weekend for NF, suddenly I'm getting golds galore, one every run, instead of one per three runs if i'm lucky. Guess what? 80% of farmers went to test out NF. Hehe, I remember getting 17 Ectos within 5 hours during the preview event. That was when it was a lot faster, 20-30 mins.

What is so hard to believe? Drop rate is global. If a farm spot has 1000 farmers milking it, golds are hard to come by. Before it's widely-known, the small number of farmers will be getting golds galore.

Guess what? 80% of farmers went to test out NF. drop rates aren't global (at least according to Gaile, but who knows, she's been wrong before). from what's been said, the anti farm code only targets individuals who are repeatedly farming an area. if others are farming it, it shouldn't affect you.

yay i found this the first time I got my monk to Echovald Forest, which is almost a year ago now...

20k is a high estimate, but not that much off. But it bores fast.

Btw, if u get an interrupt skill, you can get the Ranger Insect boss down the slope as well. Just interrupt Troll (i used disrupting chop). Even better, E/Mo, drag the mob down the hill with you and use their attacks + Sliver Armor on the Boss...kills him in under 15 seconds.

Prolly the fastest build is a E/Mo simply spamming Searing Flames once you pull them away from the Wardens and group them properly. I doubt it's much faster if at all, having farmed here with e/mo, e/me, and mo/r. Sure the initial setup is probably quicker since you dont have to cast the 55 monk enchants, but I kill all the dragon moss in 1 cast of soj.
I'll farm here when I'm bored and just wanting to change some things up, but in general this was nerfed long ago.
