[skill]Glimmer of Light[/skill] needs to be buffed a tad, in my opinion. It's basically just [skill]Orison of Healing[/skill], healing for an extra 15 points (at least at 15 Healing Prayers) and casting in 1/4 of a second.
I don't see how this is very Elite, compared to the new and god-like [skill]Word of Healing[/skill]. Personally, I wish it healed for 100 (maximum, of course). There are other Elites that I don't see as being very... Elite... But this one takes the cake. Perhaps not, though.
If you disagree, please say so and why! It might be fine the way it is. I'd like to know what everyone else thinks of this Elite. Thanks in advanced! ^_~

Yeah, now that they decided to buff WoH, glimmer looks very weak in comparison. However, before they released nightfall, the healing was basically around 100, and it was extremely overpowered. Because the recharge time doesn't kick in until the skill is finished, glimmer actually has a much shorter "recharge" time than orison, and using orison is just asking to be dshotted. Also without the 50% for WoH, it is only slightly better than glimmer but with a longer casting time, twice as long recharge, and can't be used on self (which is a problem with some monk builds---self healing).
Overall, it could benefit from a slight increase in healing (maybe an addition 5 points at 16 healing), but don't overdo it or else we'll have the abused healing version of discord

I actually use to use [skill]Vigorous Spirit[/skill]+[skill]Healing Light[/skill], but after the WoH update, it became the "better choice" compared to most - if not all - of the other healing spells.

Yeah, WoH is still a Bread and Butter healing elite. It isn't the only one, and for prot monks ZB is better, but it's still good enough that you can't argue with bringing it along as your elite.
BTW, glimmer has a quicker cast time as well so unless you are hexed or going up aginst some good AI mobs, chances are you aren't going to be interuptted.

I've seen glimmer of light used somewhat effectively on some backlines, it's really not a bad skill, just very niche. On the other hand, I have never seen an effective use of word of healing. Its conditional effect, combined with its 3/4 cast make it unusable. If someone is at less than 50% health, why would you be casting a 3/4 second casts heal on them, as if that's going to save them? Also, if they're still under 50% by the time your heal finishes, you need to hire a new infuser (if we're talking pressure, ZB is better in all circumstances, and LoD in most).
Word is crap, and glimmer needs no buff.

It's helpful if someone is facing pressure or you cast it just in time. In PvP against a spike team, no it isn't going to help much, but it has it's uses in PvE at least.
