greetings fellow farmers and PvEers
according to guildwiki, the description from
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Recharge
says:
"Effects that modify recharge can stack to reduce recharge by 50% or increase it by 150%. As with all caps, a single effect can go beyond the cap. Recharge times cannot be reduced below 1 second."
This is just not true. I tried using ritualist's weapon of quickening, ranger's QZ, and assassin's deadly paradox to try and recharge shadow form but all in vain.
the recharge boost does not stack!!! how then, do you make a continual SF tank please let me know I've searched the entire forum for a build but can't find it.
Continual Shadow Form?

Shadow Form would be too overpowered if you could continually keep it up forever. There may be a way of having it up twice, perhaps using archane echo. Maybe, but that still wouldn't allow it to keep up with the eventual cooldown that you'll face. Recharge 60 sec. Idk
Wrath Of Dragons
Reduce recharge cap at 50% means that you cant go over the 50% cap with stacking (33% serpents + 25% weapon of quickening = 50%, because it caps)

Single effect:Quote:
[skill]Ritual Lord[/skill]
Recharge 63% faster at the top, therefore passing the cap. Skill recharge weapons, and other skills cease to do anything as soon as it passes 50%

The key word in the article is 'to'. The effects stack up to, but not beyond, the listed values. Quickening Zephyr alone pushes you to the 50% recharge reduction cap. Anything further has no effect.
Now, say you were using Weapon of Quickening and Serpent's Quickness, both of which reduce recharge times by 33%. Having both reduces your recharge on spells down to 50%, which is the cap. Without the cap, they'd drop recharges to ~44%.
As also indicated, single skill effects that would have an effect greater than the cap, such as Expert's Dexterity or Ritual Lord at high attribute levels, will reduce recharges by their stated amounts.

you have this wrong. a single skill can decrease the recharge of a spell beyond 50%. but you used multiple skills (WoQ, QZ, DP). even with all of these skills, the recharge is still capped at 50%. you cant push it farther then that, unless one lone skill offers a better recharge rate.

bah, beaten to it.

shadow form can last 3 times consecutively. i do it constantly in my chest running. Arcane echo plus shadow form (theres 41 seconds) deadly paradox + the Koles Torment weapon (HRS 10%, HCT 20%) when i use this combo i can keep shadow form up for 61 seconds (not including the +20%enchantment staff i switch too on last SF)

If you have at least two people with Factions AND Nightfall, it CAN be kept up indefinitely through a mimicry chain.
It's not a super awesome build except for the novelty of it. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build:Team_-_Shadowblessed
Adapt as appropriate for PVE or wherever you're trying to use it.
