Vizunah Square Mission Dilemma

Okay, so I'm going for P.O.C and need to get masters on Viz square. Admittedly I let this wait far to long. Now I have tried over the past week, and have run into a few problems. Last night I finally got to Togo without him dying (other group was npcs only, as it usually is these days) and Menhlo keep running around healing the minions and would not talk to Togo, after 15 mins I gave up realizing there was no hope for master. That coupled with most tries resulted in Togo dieing before I even get there.

Any ideas? Facing the mobs is no problem, a guildy and myself each bring mm's so we have plenty of firepower. I have tried running but Menhlo walks like he is in mud, and refuses to pass the am fah by and insists on fighting. Should I just write off POC?

I got masters on it yesterday with my mesmer and heroes/hench and hench only on other side. Seemed like gates opened a little faster and positioning went smoother than other times I've tried. Perhaps luck of the draw. I've steamrolled through the battles before only to wait a long time for gates or npcs etc. and missed masters by seconds. MM does make the kills go faster/smoother but does slow down the npcs. Just keep at it I guess since it's definitely doable.

If you can get guildies to start a group from the local side, you can try to coordinate yourselves so you enter the mission together, this may take several attempts but it makes things easier.

It's definitely doable. If you have some more guildies who are up for helping you out, send them to the other starting location and arrange to link up in the mission. That way, not only do you know that you'll be linking up with a second human team but you'll know exatly what that other team will be capable of and allowing you to maximise efficiency on both sides.

Another thing in V Square that I really found useful was taking advantage of Gai and Chiyo. Normally they have the same skill sets, but if both of them are present in the V Square mission Chiyo gets a complete build overhaul and starts working in tandem with Gai - the two of them together give you an incredible degree of protection and restoration letting you be a little more reckless with your attack strength and kill faster.

For the gates, make sure your MMs move as close as they can to the gates so Mhenlo and Togo follow. Once they get close enough, they'll trigger it. For the Am Fah, Togo and Mhenlo won't follow so just know where the Am Fah spawn and stick around with your minions. The MMs will kill the Am Fah pretty fast so shouldn't be a problem.

If you're still having problems getting Masters, look me up. It's fairly easy to do with heroes and henchies on my team and all henchies on the other. Tricky thing is just hoping for an all henchie team from the other side.

I don't always use an MM in there, but I do always use EoE + Well of blood or power. EoE cuts them down fast and the wells help keep your ally, that wasnt expecting EoE, alive (and minions, if you or your ally bring em). If you bring an MM with you when using this style, I recommend a Jagged Bones hero nec since EoE is going to hurt the minions. Be sure to take out the rits fast (spiritual pain+GoLE is nice for them) since they will res a lot. Bring disease to get them below the 90% watermark on EoE. It won't infect your team as long as you aren't fighting humans (so dont use vs Am Fah - shift click the skill in the hero's bar if its a hero).

required skills within this team build:

- well of blood (and/or power .. use with awaken if you can for +7 regen)
- EoE (max if you can)
- spiritual pain + glyph of lesser energy
- rotting flesh or putrid flesh ( i prefer an olias with shambling, vampiric, jagged bones, putrid and death nova ... if you want to be a corpse hog, bring PE and CC also)

This mission is actually pretty easy with the right Hero's from Elona + henchies.

I much rather have the other team as henchies so I know it won't get messed up.

The hero's I use is MM, Monk and Ele (Fire) and get 1 healer hench, one earth, enchanter and talon the warrior birdy dude.

Just make sure you keep up the pace and gofor the Ritualists first since they res all the time.

If anyone needs Masters here just give me a PM and if I am free I give you a hand.

I have several characters so if you want to PM me you have to add one of them to your friends list.

Hiroyuki Matsushima is my main character. (Warrior with Protector of Tyria, Cantha and Elona titles)

Might find me roaming around doing missions in hard mode...or maybe I'm lost in the Underworld...

I've done this mission twice (once for cartography) and got master's both times. The first time, one group of all players and one group all npc. the second time it was me and henchies and the second group had an mm and war and henchies. Coordinating to get a non-hench group join is the best bet. That way you can split up and cover the different spawn areas and kill everything as they pop out of the holes. makes the battles much quicker. I even got master's while doing wall scraping this way.
