Onslaught is omfg hard to capture in PvE. I gave it up and had to unlock it in PvP. But I tried it with henchies and henchies in DoA are not a good option, so whatever...

- if it's possible to stay on the principle of the build which i stated on the 1st reply , just advise of some skill of another profession etc

You would be better of with 16 Scythe and 13 Wind.

Onslaught {e}
Whirling Charge
Chilling Victory
Victorious Sweep
Lyssa's Assault
Rending Sweep / Eremite's Attack / Wild Blow
Featherfoot Grace / Wild Blow / Eremite's Attack
Res

But really Onslaught isn't that great in PvE. I used it to spike Abaddon in the last mission but otherwise it is lacking in defense generally.

I kinda like Onslaught in PvE.

The description of how it works makes you think, "hey, I'll use the higher energy/longer recharge attacks" but I don't think that's the way to go. I like using the lower energy, quick recharge attacks, because you can really spam them under Onslaught.

I'm at work so I can't look up my build, but it's something like:

[skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill][skill]Banishing Strike[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Onslaught[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill][skill]Renew Life[/skill]

Stats i really don't remember, except that it's enough Earth prayers for Mystic Regeneration to be +3 pips for each enchantment, and high enough wind prayers that Onslaught isn't down long, probably 11+1. Rest pumped into Scythe mastery with a superior rune, leftovers in Mysticism (Faithful Intervention isn't there for the heal, it's there for being always enchanted for Mystic Regeneration & Mystic Sweep.)

If I remember correctly Onslaught can be captured in Nightfallen Jahai without TOO much trouble. If I can do it then anyone can!

Worst thing about Onslaught in PvE is that it's in wind prayers, which isn't really needed in PvE.

For those players who don't want to accumulate too many deaths and just hate dying all the time (normal occurence when capping Onslaught in Nightfall especially with hero/hench team), ask someone who is farming the Onslaught of Terror i believe the name of the boss, E/A or A/E Slivers are the norm and successful solo farmers for this particular boss, have him or her solo the boss he goes down in 7 seconds or so, while u wait in a safe spot for your cap.

Or just take Ebon Dust Aura, lock Norgu onto the Rain of Terror, and whack him dead....

Dunno, onslaught feels a lot like having 8 expertise for your attacks only. Seems just underpowered to me. Much like Vow of Strength. They should buff Onslaught to 50/50 and VoS to +4%/lvl
Edit: Come to think of it, the only way I'm ever using onslaught is if they buff the entire wind attribute.

when you think about it, onslaught sounds like an awesome skill....25% less energy, attack skills recharge 25% faster..and at 16 wind you would be able to keep it up 24/7.....but like everyone else i to believe Wind Prayers are way underpowered and until they buff or add skills that make worth dumping attribute points into when I'm not using a running build I'm staying away from them.

EDIT: I have heard that W/D can use this skill to some effect though.....

onslaught might be worth considering if wind prayers got a buff. but if wind prayers were buffed, then zealous vow would beat the pants off of onslaught.

Mine is similar to the OP's build, but i try to maintain a faster attack rate to increase DPS, and take advantage of the Lyssa's + Onslaught energy synergy, as well as faster recharge on skills, as well as a few of my own changes for self safety...

Here is the Onslaught build i sometimes use in PvE::

Scythe:: 16 (12+3+1)
Mysticism:: 9 (8+1)
Wind:: 10 (or 11, i forget the exact attributes)
Earth:: whatver is left.

[skill]Crippling Sweep[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill][skill]Chilling Victory[/skill][skill]Onslaught[/skill][skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill] [skill]Heart of Fury[/skill] -OR- [skill]Whirling Charge[/skill] [skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill]

Zealous Scythe of Enchanting
+15%dmg while enchanted or 15^50
1/-1 Zealous
+20% Longer Enchantment Durations

I am also decked out in Radiant inscriptions, despite limited defense through my own skill setup.

I find the synergy is quite nice... despite having low defense. Kind of a glass cannon taht has one fall back heal vs spikes, and a low constant heal for the duration of Mystic Vigor and the frequent Victorious Sweep bonuses. After casting 3 skills in succession (Faithful always active ahead of time), Mystic Vig, Heart of Fury or Whirling Charge, then Onslaught. Then you can either snare your immediate targets with Crippling Sweep, or if too low on energy, use Lyssa's Sweep. The beauty of this is, Onslaught makes the cost of Lyssa's lower then 10e, so you gain about 3-4 energy coupled with your zealous scythe.

With fairly fast attacking you can maintain energy for attacks at a descent rate. Additionally, with 25% faster recharge on ur attacks, your DPS is quite good. Just make sure you watch your effects bar to maintain the necessary enchants/stances. Sure not the most balanced build, but fun none-the-less!

cheers!
