Armor coloring: before and after the Dye update

I have a warrior character. This character bought some armor (15k Kurzick) back in July 2006, and just recently bought a set of Ancient armor from the Bone palace. I have dyed both sets of armor using an identical combination of colors, but the coloring on the Kurzick armor looks dull compared to the Ancient. Both armors are metallic, so in theory, the dyable areas should look the same shade and hue, but they dont.

I only bring this up because it looks odd when i mix armor pieces and the colors dont match.

Am I having this problem because the Kurzick armor was purchased before the Dye update in October?

If I buy a new set of 15k Kurzick armor, will the dyable areas appear the same shade and hue as the Ancient when dye is applied?

I would just try redying it first I'm not to sure that will work but its worth a try.

You ever have to clean up after a Moa bird?

No two sets (of different types) of armor dye exactly the same, but if you dyed one set before the dye update, and used the same formula on the second, then yes, they're going to be drastically different, no matter what.

You're not having the problem because "the Kurzick armor was purchased before the dye update", but you might be having it because the armor was dyed before the update.

Try redying the first set, but do NOT go out and buy a new set of Kurzick armor. It's not going to dye any differently. The dyes were changed, not the armor.

If they still look different, even with the same formula of new dye on them, then that's just the way it is. None of my mix-and-match sets have ever worked with the same formula. You have to experiment some.
