Is it possible to have a character that came from another continent (Tyria, in this case) and bring it from the mainland to Shing Jea?

Other than access to Shing Jea Monastery for events and the explorer and protector titles, there is not much there of interest to foreigners - no quests, no mission rewards, etc.

If you don't have the Marketplace as an outpost yet, go from Kaineng Center into Bukdek Byway and head due south from the portal to get there. From there, head to the Kaineng Docks and talk to the first mate to be taken to Shing Jea by boat.

but it is required to go there if you want protector of cantha title.
