Disappering Faction Points

Within my guild I have been placed in charge of keeping our Kurzick faction points up. I ab regularly but it seems that I have to do it all the time to keep our points from falling too far. Can someone tell me why the factions drop everyday and if it is possible to stop them from dropping so quickly.

Alliance faction points decrease overtime 10% every 24 hours, and there's no way to prevent this. Here's a link to the wiki on alliance faction: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Alliance_Faction.

thank you for the speedy response. i heard that the number of people in your guild also has an effect on how many factions u loose everyday. If it says otherwise in the link you gave I apologize but the link doesnt work when i try it

The number of members has no bearing at all. It's a straight 10% loss per day, everyday.

Consider Luxon / Kurzick faction as a form of reputation, if you don't keep your face in the news so to speak, people for get about you and your reputation decreases.

This is also to prevent any one alliance from controlling the cities forever... It gives others a chance to achieve this goal. So the 10% thing made since.

An Alliance with 50,000 will loose around 5,000 a day, but one with 500,000,000 will loose 50,000,000 a day. 10% see... Giving everyone a shot at controlling a city eventually. If the Alliance really wants it, its possible for everyone...

Unless your guild/alliance is pursuing the ownership of a town there is no point in such a pursuit. Even if your faction all drains away it doesn't affect the guild.

The only reason to donate faction for most people is for a title. Otherwise trade it in for amber or jade.
