Skin question

hey, i was looking around the net and i found this picture, which was very odd to me.
can you tell me how to change the skin to this one? or tell me what this is?

I assume you're referring to the UI skin and not any of the characters. Unfortunately you can't switch to it, since it has been modified over time to the current skin.

It'd be nice to be able to use the older UI elements, since in my opinion they looked crisper, but I doubt Anet would spend time updating to the current layout. It would be for the same reasons as to why we can't switch the character login screen to the older Factions and Prophecies versions.

I'm sorry but what skin are you talking about? The armor? The weapon?

I think it's possible that it's just an old screenie - the filename (http://media.gamebattles.com/pc/screens/2005/551/299_1120342551_196_1.jpg) suggests that it may be. Plus I think the gold counter in your inventory used to be up there, but was moved a while back?

Possibly an old screenshot from a beta or similar?

if you had this HUD skin you would never be able to use heroes

You do realize that you can turn on/off or rearrange the individual interface items though, correct? Go into Options and you can play around with it.
