Girl Power Hour - Girls Pwning Sorrow's Furnace
Robin_Anadri
Attention girl gamers - you’re invited!
This Sunday, we Valkyries shall strike fear into the cold hearts of the Stone Summit dwarves as we descend on Sorrow's Furnace.
If you haven’t mapped the staging outpost for Sorrow's Furnace, Deldrimor War Camp, it's an easily henchable walk from Droknar's Forge through Talus Chute to Camp Rankor, north through Snake Dance, turning east at the sign to Grenth's Footprint, where signs will point the way north and east a short distance to DWC. (You can also hench from Granite Citadel through Spearhead Peak to Grenth's Footprint, but while the distance is shorter you'll face some pretty concentrated mobs that way.)
Canthan and Elonian women who haven't yet mapped Droknar's Forge in Tyria will find the shortest path is get a run from Lion's Arch to Beacon's Perch, and then get a run to the Forge from there (about 3K per person on average, lately largely Dervish runners.) Runs to DWC are regularly available from Camp Rankor, as well.
Bring whatever character you have that can get there. We won’t be trying to force together any sort of farming team builds. We'll try to make sure all the teams leave with enough healing and damage along for the ride, but it's all about the fun and we can make any combination of characters work.
We will meet this Sunday, March 18th, in our regular meeting place, the Temple of the Ages, International District 1, at our regular meeting time, 1:00 PM Eastern Time (10:00 AM Pacific, 5:00 PM GMT). We'll form teams there then map travel to DWC to get started.
Female players only, please. (Females playing male characters are welcome.) Of course there’s no way for us to check, but please respect the women who wish to gather for this event to play with other female gamers.

We Guys would be happy to escort you there from Ranknor since we don't need directions. It's a dangerous run to get there you know...

It's their regular meeting place. Good luck on the run

I've been wanting to make a visit to Sorrow's lately, so I'm pleased about this. Hopefully I'll be able to make it, last weekend I went running at what I thought would be a reasonable time to make it back by, but my clocks were all screwed up and I'd forgotten about the time change. Oops.
Anyway. As Robin said, getting to War Camp is easily henchable, but if you'd like some human company, feel free to give me a yell (IGN Forsira Hart) and I'll come help you get there.

I didn't get a chance to provide moral support in the last couple of Girl Power Hour events. But if I can make it to this one, I'd be honored to show my support in the meeting place.

Oh, cool, another event.
I told my GF about the HA event you all had and she was sad she missed it. She'll be glad to hear that you guys are hosting another event. In fact, there are a couple of girls in our Guild who would be interested. I'll link them here.

It sounds great, and I'd love to join. I'll just have to see if I can drag myself out of bed for it. It's time like these that I almost hate being a night owl.

So who all's coming? Everybody got DWC mapped?
Gaia Stone
I bloomin' hope to be there this time! Damn clocks and their changing ways, I turned up an hour late last week... *sigh*

It went great! We had four full teams and everybody had a lot of fun.
My team was in SF for 3 hours or so and killed just about everything that moved. The bosses were a bit stingy, only two greens dropped, but there was a healthy scattering of golds and plenty o'shamrock ale to go around, lassies!
See you girls next week.

Well, I missed it again but this time it was my mother's b-day so I took her out, guess I will try to catch the next event.
