Dr Wu
I just purchased new AR for my Assassin, and also 5 Radiant Insignias to apply to his AR, but they won't attach...why not ?

Is it armour from Elona? If not, then no insignias can be applied to it.
Windblade Ionic Z
insignias only work on the nightfall armors.

Tell me about it. I don't understand why you're able to buy insignia in Tyria and Cantha either...
Pkest
But you can buy shrouded armor for your Canthan sin which is the same thing as buying Elonian armor and adding radiant insignias.
Insignia are necessary for Heroes so Anet decided to make them available via the rune traders (the wisdom of which has been discussed before) and since all rune traders are the same there is no way to keep them out of Shing Jea. A warning when you purchase might be nice but then people would complain about the extra click.

I think a simple text entry on the tool tip for armor would suffice:
"No Insignia Slot"
Or some such comment in red letters.

Or some such comment in red letters. The prefix on the armor already should be enough of a hint. The game already caters too much to the dumb and foolish.

They should sell insignias in Cantha and Tyria because a character with Elonian armor can be there and want insignias, either a native Elonian or a foreigner who has returned home with armor crafted in Elona.
Prefectus
umm you can get fissure armor with the ability of adding insigs thats why there sold in the other chapters

Agreed. That goes to people who complain because inscriptions, wand wrappings, focus core's and shield handles won't work on tyrain and factions items.....
There is an implied rule to these games, if you can only FIND it in one campaign, then it is exclusive to that campaign....
to the OP, All the available insignias are offered on Tyrian and Canthan armor and are built in, thusly no need for insignias, pay attention...

That's just a lame excuse from the developers to write a script that would change all the items in the game. And it's not like there will be 12 chapters... coz there will only be 4 chapters. They better add inscriptions to all items.

I'm pretty sure the Armor you can buy from Crafters in Prophecies and Factions doesn't have a disclaimer. I'll take a look when I get in game.
