Ugh - I'm going Curses and Blood for this mission and I can't seem to beat it. I get to the last harpie and am down to one guard before I die. I am a necro/dervish - anybody got any ideas?!
ShadowbaneX
self-heals? Changing to N/Mo for this mission? How are you only down to one guard? There's usually half a dozen following me around and killing everything before I have a chance...

It's just a matter of what targets to pick/fight first. The guards are great allies if you know when to assist them.
For me, the damn Mime was the one thing I couldn't beat. :/

you could always lure them to the other guards in the area. every NPC attacks harpies so you can lure the harpies to a location (mostly stairs) and you get more people. P.S why not use MM?

I did this on my Necro/Rit...I was spec'ed Blood and Channeling if I recall.
Spike build, worked pretty well and I tossed a Spirit down for some added damage.
I tried MM but couldn't bring up enough Minions to kill the Harpies fast enough and MM spec lowered the amount of damage I could shell out at a good pace.

Barbs = Double minion damage

Enfeebling blood makes them hit less hard, paired with insidious parasite it's even better. They cant hit for shit and yo get healed

Went in with a blood degen build using life transfer, didn't have any problems, the vabbi guards in your allies list will come and help you eventually bring the aggro to them and let them take the hits, you should be fine and they should be too.

Surely if you used things like Reckless Haste and Price of Failure it would both deal damage and stop them doing as much?

I beat it - but the mime was the only thing I haven't beat yet -
I changed up my build to MM and a couple of degen spells and damage dealing spells.
First, I let the npcs kinda kill off a few of them, and ran to raise minions and horrors. Used the npcs and the minions as a distraction, dodging arrows and getting minimal damage this way. While my minions and guards were dealing their damage, I did Life Siphon and Barbs on various individuals (I have +12 energy cesta, and a staff with +6 energy, not too hard to keep casting). I didn't really care to think out the degen and damage dealing stuff, since I was controlling crowd of level 14-16 minions. Now, at the top of the stairs to the right was where I was having problems originally, because all but three guards were killed in the process and those three were usually low on life.
However, with minions and more guards alive, I managed to kill off the rest of the harpies.
Now if I can just beat that stupid mime and get on with the rest of it.
Thanks everybody -
