Ok here it is:

I'm currently gaming on my laptop, which is an Alienware Area51 m7700.

Its running
Pentium4 3.2GHz
1 GB of Ram (512x2)
Nvidia Ge Force Go 6800 Ultra 256mb
60GB HD
WindowsXP Home SP2

The problem is, at times while playing I will get 50-60 frames in explorables, and usually 30-60 in most outposts with a ping hovering around 150. But at random times I get a total frame dropout and it goes down to >10. Its duration is random, with some times being short, and others long.

I'm no computer guru so don't rip me, but I knew enough that prior to Night Fall, Guild Wars ran beautifully on my system. I just used a program provided by Alienware to return my computer to its original settings, i.e. reformat, but it still happened, although I retained my old dat file.

I doubt its my ram because while running all my other usuals and Guild Wars, I'm only at about 500mb or so.

So can anybody help a novice with this gaming issue? I've followed most instructions on this board and even defragged the dat to 1 but I still get frame drops.
