Need Help with Problem.

Im having a problem with Guild Wars. I just built a new computer and for some reason when im logged in i will be in a outpost, and whether i try to start the mission for the outpost or just try to leave it, it will go to the loading screen and then it will minimize and give me just this black screen that covers about half of the screen and the only thing i can do is cancel out of the game. My system specs are an E6600 Core 2 Duo, ATI X1950 GT 256 mb card, 160 hard drive, like i said i just put it together yesterday and it worked fine when i first started playing it.

When you put it all together, did you install the video drivers that came on the CD and/or did you get the update from the vendor site?

I updated to the latest drivers, i uninstalled the game, ran it, it ran fine, then left it alone came back home tonight and it did the same thing again, me and my friend ran through everything and figured that it didnt have to do with my computer, but the game itself, or something conflicting with my computer

Call it a wacky idea, but before you log into your character, hit f11 and scale the graphics down to their lowest settings, shut off anti-aliasing, and see if it'll at least load from there. If starts running, slowly scale it up to see if maybe a graphics setting is screwing things over.
