You find the monument for the Cities quest in the Surmia mission itself.

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ruins_o..._%28Mission%29

thats the Wiki on the mission. At the very bottom of the page is info and a map for the monument

guildwiki.org is your friend.

There are several of these monuments scattered about Ascalon in different zones. Hit "Alt" when you were in the area of the star. One of the monuments should light up with bright yellow letters when you are walking around holding the "Alt" key.

The "Alt" key is your friend too.

The Grim cesta (-50 hp) you get as a quest reward is worth 5 - 7k, so don't sell it to the merchant!

Oh Noes! The 'burbs!

Probably a dumb thing to mention, but did you click on the monument? Just walking up to it doesn't do anything.

I still have several characters that need to do the quest, but my storage space is at a premium.

No, it's in the mission itself, not the lobby.

Just do the mission and you will find the monument about halfway through the mission. Holding alt helps too.

If you got to the star on the map, then that's where you needed to be. You just needed to hold alt and find the monument to click on it, otherwise the quest won't update.

The star is showing you where you need to go. Hit the 'enter mission' button and you'll notice the star has moved. You can't exactly hit the enter mission button from outside the outpost can you?

It's easy to find....start the mission, go to the spot where Rurik asks you go inside the fort to lower the bridge for him, wade through the tar to get to the side entrance of the fort, and the monument is next to the side entrance.

Really?! Wow, I sure am glad I decided to keep that guy in inventory. Looks like I need to figure out where to sell it.

this is easy hit ENTER MISSION then when you get to the point where the bridge is down and ruick tells you to find a way across backtrack about 10 feet then turn left and follow the tar pits around under the bridge and a little past that part you get to a point where you can get out of the ter and follow a path to the roight the leads up a little hill the path then turns right again and you will see a doorway just before that doorway to the right of the enterance there is what you need
