then a little less than serious: ((curse)) titles //titles that can't be removed, account-based, and don't count toward "kind-of-a-big-deal": [ignorance] over usage of the word noob: after 1000 uses of the word noob, you earn the curse title of "noob wannabe" after 5000 uses of the word noob, you earn the curse title of "noob magnet" after 10000 uses of the word noob, you earn the max curse title of "noob worshipper" (at max level: every time player types the word "noob" their line is completed with the phrase, "with love from a fellow noob.") [quitter] map jump before start of PVP match or during multi player missions: after 50 shameful map jumps, you earn the curse title of "He/She who runs away" after 100 shameful map jumps, you earn the curse title of "Coward" after 500 shameful jumps, you earn the max curse title of "Gwen is Braver than Me" (at max level, their name is black on red instead of white on red in the party forming window in PVE) [flim-flam] WTS/WTB spam in open chat channel as well as double posting in trade channel (multiple posts on trade channel with no one posting in between): after 100 infractions, earn the curse title of "naga oil salesperson" after 500 infractions, earn the curse title of "honest as a corsair" after 1000 infractions, earn max curse title of "used dolyak salesperson" (at max level, character does complete "/breath" emote in between each future infraction) [kind of a shameful deal] max all three curses, the community will shun you. Characters names will show up in black on red in all aspects of the interface. In towns and outposts, things will randomly fall from the heavens, striking the cursed one on the head. Other players mini-pets will taunt you if you are cursed with this most lowly status. |
/notsign due to uselessness

People are always talking about how more gold in the community means higher prices. And how we need more money sinks... What about a money sink title?
Shopper title
------------------------------------------
Window Shopper-(100k spent)
Compulsive Shopper-(500k spent)
Shopaholic-(1000k spent)
------------------------------------------
This would have to only count at merchants and traders and not armor crafters and festival ticket people...

The quest idea is great - definitely signed. Deaths in PvP? I don't think I'd be opposed to it, unless PvPers can provide an argument about how it would be detrimental to the game.
Any title given as a reward for griefing, abuse, stupid, or trivial behavior - more assuredly NOT signed. Stuff like:
* deaths
* AFK/leaving
* spending gold
* spam
* saying 'noob', or anything else
You should be able to figure out that many people would farm these things and wear them as a perverse badge of honor. There are plenty of cool and/or fun achievements that can and should be rewarded instead.

and a somewhat real suggestion: [anarchist] unique boss kills: only get 1 point per unique kill - can't farm same boss// need to kill all five in pre-searing for max title ![]() then a little less than serious: ((curse)) titles //titles that can't be removed, account-based, and don't count toward "kind-of-a-big-deal": [ignorance] over usage of the word noob: after 1000 uses of the word noob, you earn the curse title of "noob wannabe" after 5000 uses of the word noob, you earn the curse title of "noob magnet" after 10000 uses of the word noob, you earn the max curse title of "noob worshipper" (at max level: every time player types the word "noob" their line is completed with the phrase, "with love from a fellow noob.")
