Two Real Life Friends Just Scammed Me

Well I am very ticked and considering leaving the game after this. I have been playing this game with one of my friends for awhile now but recently our other friend was interested in purchasing the game. Well to be nice I let him try it out in my account to see if he likes it or not; my other friend was going to help him in pre-searing.

Well I logged out about 10 mins ago after buying a kanaxai's edge from a forum member so he could try. Log back in now after he supposedly asked me to "check out" his character and all my gold is gone; all 346K of it. I tried calling both of them and neither picked up and they both blocked me on MSN. Is there anything I can do about this because I am now flat broke in my account.

Pretty sure if you gave them your account info, nothing can be done.

You could email ANet, but it would be a waste of time for both you and ANet because they won't do anything. Choose your friends wisely.

Technically, you did break the terms of use by letting him use your account.

Wow your lucky. At least you know who they are in real life. Just kick their asses until they give back your items.

You're welcome to contact support, or whichever regional plaync site is applicable to your location, but the odds are unlikely that you'll receive much in the way of help.

It's unlikely that Anet will return lost or stolen items, due to policy, nor will they generate new ones to replace them. At best, you might hope that your scammers will receive some form of disciplinary action, but as you willingly gave them access to your account, that seems a remote possibility at best.

Since this thread has, and likely will continue to draw unhelpful replies due to its very nature, I'm closing this.
