Also... if you have a minipet, YAA doesn't trigger when it's in range, so abuse it while you can... less cripple = faster runs.

I'm not sure if this counts as a farm since it isn't repeatable, I'm sure you could but it would be exponentially more difficult. There is a quest that takes you to barbarous shore where you have to fight Ruthless Sevad's crew. In it are three weapon masters and they seem to drop Colossal scimitars with some regularity. I discovered this by accident after focusing on the weapon masters and, stupidly, ignoring the mesmers. I got murdered but I got one colossal scimitar from that failed attempt. I zone out and zone back in and try again I still fail and no drop. The third time I get one purple and one gold colossal scimitar from the weapon's masters. This is Hard Mode of course. If anyone else has a more successful farming build to test this with be my guest.

so...i only have an Assassin, a Warrior and a Dervish that has done the game...I heard that the 103 Dervish can pull this off (but i cant find the build), the Warrior/Rt i tried but the degen is just too annoying. And using a hex Assassin doesn't work because of the "smite hex" is there any other builds that have worked here?

D/Mo 130 can do it, I've gone quite a few runs today. Landed a few ornates, crudes, etc. but no colossal yet.
It's easier, as usual, to die once first. Didn't know about the minipet trick with YAA so that will help tons!

A warrior rit can only get so far in farming that area, i tried to do it with my build i posted for moddok but was only able to kill one group, after that the ranger+necro was too much degen.
Someone else posted a "solo all corsair build" but that build is utter garbage the only type of heal in it is regen which is conditional, so you'll die slowly.

Make a caster weapon out of it +5 nrg 20 enchant or 10 HSR 20 enchant.
People will buy the non-max ones/high reqs just for these purposes. Don't expect 100k + xx ectos for it. Collosals are pretty much worthless now, just check the 100's in high end with 0 replies
If you guys start getting dry runs in zehlon, there's a bunch more corsairs to the north of the map, along with a lvl 29 corsair ranger. I snagged a r13 off them (ones to the north AkA landing party) after a bunch of crap runs thru the normal area right outside.
Switch it up, it helps.

I was lucky today lol and bored of 55ing corsairs so I answered a "WTS q11 colassal pm your offers" I wore 100k and he accepted now using my perfect req11 colossal Very happy. I am feeling like I dropped my colossal in zehlon cause I made at least 200k there. But the guy I bought off was very unlucky I still dont understand why he sold it that cheap. I asked him why you selling cheap he said they are very low these times.

Wow some ppl are lucky to get 2 and even just the 1 but i've been farming there (zehlon)for about 5 days and last night i finally got one. It was req11 and i was like wooot but it turned out that it was 15-21!!! non max, what a disaster lol. I guess its back to the old drawing board

lol almost sounds exactly like me but mine was max damage. 5 days farming finaly got it last night... that was 15 mins after getting home from working 11.5 hours
