Icy Dragon Sword Question

Are they really actually good or just rare, what i'm asking is are they worth the $, are they actually good or do they cost that money because they are rare?

They're rare. You can add mods to them to make an IDS as good as any other sword.

They only drop from Ice Imps, which makes them fairly hard to get

but you cant change the icy mod on it.

To clarify what they are saying about it's mods....

All Icy Dragon Swords are blue items, they are like collector items.

They do Cold Damage, are max damage 15-22, Req 9 Swordsmanship, and have +15% damage while your health is above 50%.

The only thing you can do to it is customize it to add +20% damage and add a pommel of your choice.

They are only obtained in one location of the game. In the far North East corner of Mineral Springs, in the Southern Shiverpeaks, there is a cave full of Ice Imps. It is these Ice Imps that drop the IDS (Icy Dragon Sword), no other Ice Imps.

They are considered rare, but you can get better weapons in the game imo, Skin wise.

I'm pretty sure there are solo builds for the Ice Imps. Might wanna take a look at that on wiki i think?? I could be wrong.

They are also good to have if you have a ss necro because you need cold damage.

They look pretty good, and you will always draw the attention of someone that never saw one of those.

Not particularly good, but not that bad either, nice for swaping with vampiric weapon of yours.

One of those items for collectors.

Soloable but not as easy as it used to be as the groups of avicara camp outside the cave on alot of spawns now and can be very frustrating

looks nice but all swords are the same baseline dmg wise

you can get this other ways, but it does come ready made for this situation.

Its a unique skin and it looks cool, but its not really any better damagewise or anything to any other sword.

What is the going rate on these?

I say around 25k max, I wouldn't pay more than 20k. I rather have ebon mod instead of icy mod.

^ you must have not noticed, but it has rocket to 30-40k now. As someone who had posted earlier, farming for IDS is much more difficult than ever due to the avicara mobs and the runs are just not really profitible.

so can you add 20/20 to it with out daminging the sword, and if so what is the name of the mod or inscription needed, cause i got 1 req 9, 15 ^ 50, + 30.
