My headset just died and I'm set on either one of these two headsets:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836504001
^eDimensional Audio FX $44.99 (currently $39.99)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153002
^Razer Barracuda HP-1 $121.99
(if I do buy the Barracuda I'll eventaully upgrade to the Barracuda AC-1 Soundcard http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/17346/)

Here are a couple reviews on them:

^Razer Barracuda HP-1

The price really doesnt matter to me (but of course if there is only minimal difference I would rather have the cheaper) but I want to know which would be worth buying. Please do not just state your opinion based on the newegg.com customer reviews (I hate that).

Thanks for your time.

Well, The Razers look awesome. Thats all the advice i can give
If your computer has bluetooth, why not grab a pair of stereo bluetooth headphones? Maybe not quite the soft, cushy surround-sound of the ones you had picked out, but the lack of wires sure is nice

If you can spare the cash, go for the razer. Good name, respected company, very good audio quality. The specs on that thing are unreal. However if you don't care much about looks, you could find a similar headset on newegg for MUCH less...

Bluetooth headsets aren't great for gaming, because of the slight lag caused by data being transmitted wirelessly. Although bluetooth is awesome in it's own right, I'd go with a wired connection any day. Strictly preference though

Id probably go with the Razer aswell, especially if Bluetooth is wireless, i tried wireless once.Absolute disaster.

I have one word for you: SteelSeries
I recommend the 5H, but that's just me. All are excellent gaming headsets. I know, I've used them. They also sound and feel better than my sister's SONY MD700s that are $150 new.
