My Solo+Hench pc is lvl 15.6 and stuck in The Frost Gate Mission. I got through this mission once before with a W/E...now I'm W/Mo and although this has helped a lot The Frost Gate has been replayed many times. The problem area is dealing with the mobs across the bridge that has the bombed out crater at one end?
I realize I can circumvent this by going through Anvil Rock and Deldrimor Bowl to reach Beacon's Perch. There should be at least one zone in GW called Witt's End.
I'm curious about some game statistics that may or may not be available.
What is a fair number of tries through a mission before giving up? What are my alternatives excluding avoiding the mission? Please don't throw a lot of abreviations at me because I am a Newbie and I'm Solo. I haven't worked at all with any group or guild. If you do please define them so I can learn what they are and how they are used. Thanks.
How many play through Prophecy solo+henchman successfully? I've heard that Factions and Nightfall are easier to play solo+heroes which is fine by me as the game has enough challenges in it for a real adventurer who gets tired of nothing but hack & slash challenges some time.
How many Prophecy games sold are actually finished in any manner? I'm going to guess at this point based on my skills still being above average that the number is very very low. This is not a gripe at the game...just a curiosity and besides, I don't think anyone really knows. Although, GW is online only so ArenaNet would know.
Thanks.

I think it's impossible to finish prophecies with henchman.
Just get a good team and beat the mission.

It is possible to complete Prophecies with Henchmen, however henchies are rather weak in Prophecies and are no comparison to teaming up with other people (or even using heros). I think that ANet's idea behind henchies was to use them as party fillers in the event that no human players are available to team up with.
Your best alternative to doing the mission would be to get into a PUG (pick up group) with other players. I do that for the more challenging missions that I can't do on my own - invite random people to join you and see how the party roster fills up before running the mission.
Being a part of a guild can help as well. That way, you have an extended network of other players who you could contact quickly and ask for help with missions if you find yourself having difficulty. It's an option for you to consider, but starting or joining a guild isn't really necessary unless you want a cape or access to a guild hall.

For starters and for those who may be interested in the strategy I finally got through The Frost Gate Mission again including the Bonus. Ultimately I realized I think that I was taking too many chances with mobs so I set a flag way back from the mob and lured them to the party. I did this for two reasons: 1) It usually does break up a large congregated mob into smaller elements, and 2) If the party is overwhelmed but the pc sees her chance to escape with anyone in the party left alive you do so and pull the flag. Once escaped the mob, not being in its usual place, will return to it which will then leave your dead party safe to return to and recover well out of aggro range.
I would almost say at this point that if you are solo+hench that the pc must have a Resurrect skill.
Since I am more into the 'Adventure' then the awards and won't be playing through any parts a second I don't absolutely have too I have abandoned notions of getting any game Titles that don't come on automatically.
As far as Solo and Hench go I will continue on and replace henchmen with Heroes as soon as I can...and I already know I can get to that point because I did in my previous game...but didn't aquire one then before I quit the game.

i kinda breezed my way through The Frost Gate with my dervish. Probably had nothing to do with her being lv 20 with a lv 20 monk hero, lv 20 ele hero and lv 20 minion master. The two hench I took just came along for the sights I guess.

We may not have a Witts end, but we do have a Witman's Fall.
Anyway, congrats on beating and getting the bonus to Frost Gate.
Good luck in getting Olais in Lion's Arch and the Assassin in Cantha. Make sure you take every quest you can before going after these two heros. The Assassin isn't to bad, you get 20th lvl henchies. Lion's Arch however, is another story.
Good luck!
