I've noticed hero elemantalists can not handle fire attunement like other attunements or permanent stances.
Why? Why is there a difference in hero skill AI? I don't get it.
Is there any difference between fire and earth/air/water attunement?
Dear ANET, in hope you read this, could you fix those little bugs with the next update? (This should be very very very easy to fix imho.)
ps: Riverside cause of more visits, even more from anet.

Sometimes it takes 1-2 casts before they put the attunement up, but they will cast it and maintain it fairly well, unless it's stripped by something. They won't Attunements or GoLE every time it recharges, but most humans won't even do that. :\

I've noticed they use nearly all attunements every time it recharges except fire attunement.
I also had no problems with GoLE. During a battle they give other spells more priority sometimes. It's not that wrong imho, even if not recommended.

For my heroes, I always put the skills in order of which they should be used, so fire attunement would be first and GoLE right before MS or another high energy skill.

And for Balthazar's sake, make heroes and henchmen move from aoe like meteor shower, make them move when enemy-dervish is hiting 3 of them at once...

Also they dont use bonds....so you cant have a monk bonder..Like Life Bond+Life Barrier...Which sucks.

I put sig of devotion on my Dunkoro, and he will wait for his energy to regen to use orison of healing or word of healing, even when somone is about to die, instead of using sig of devotion.

I've also noticed the thing about fire attunement as well, sometimes I'll just bring up Sosuke's skill bar and manually cast it on him. Zhed doesn't ever seem to have a problem keeping his attunements and enchants up, but I usually make him a water or earth ele. Sosuke also casts meteor shower on random non threatening things, like ranger spirits, so I took that off his skill bar.
Also, I wish my protector hero would stop using protective spirit as some sort of spamming heal or whatever. Instead of using reversal of fortune or mend condition to heal/prot the group, she just spams protective spirit until she's out of energy. I could understand if we were taking heavy spike damage, but that's usually not the case. She just doesn't use hardly any of the skills when needed that I give her, kind of annoying.

1. I've spotted Dunkoro, Tahlkora and Kihm using Zealous Benediction when a party member has between 70-75% health. If they would simply recognize the 50% hp mark it would be nice, so they could use, say, Protective Spirit instead.
2. Dunkoro and Tahlkora won't use Balthazar's Spirit on themselves when bonding. And they drop all enchantments after an encounter, making them unable to maintain their bonds. (It's likely impossible to fix)
3. Dunkoro and Tahlkora would rather save their energy and use Holy Haste than healing targets when they are low on energy.

Put the skills on their skillbar, disable the skills that you want them to bond with (shift+click the spell), then manually cast the bonds on whoever you want to have them. As long as the skills are disabled, they will keep them up until they are removed by enchantment removal, or you remove them.

My personal favourite though is using 'Faithful Intervention' when they get below 50% health... when the spell never ends. It just begs you to Savage Shot/Power Spike them.

I find mine can handle Elemental Attunement fine as well as Archane Echo.They don't alway use it for MS.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the hero monks' annoying tendency to heal minions... I mean, what good are little minion bombers if Talkora keeps casting prot spirit on them and Dunkoro heals them?

The problem with Fire Attunement - in my understanding - is that heroes see it as an offensive rather than defensive enchantment. As soon as you zone, they'll put up Aura of Restoration - which I figure is because they're programmed to recognize it as a defensive spell that needs to be recast ASAP. They'll recast the Attunement too, but only when engaged in combat - which is why I'd call it an offensive buff.
Either way, I've abandoned Elemental Attunement on my heroes because I'd have to effectively precast it for them and for myself before every fight, not to mention cover it properly with Fire Attunement and Aura of Restoration. When I'm not settled into a pretty stable Searing Flames build with Fire Attunement, GoLE and Glowing Gaze, I find myself putting Mind Blast on them more and more frequently. Even if they can't handling the build right, things are dying around me all the same

If you look there is a thread on all this in the Hero AI section of this board, along with all the other skills they wont use properly or at all. Perhaps these should be added if they are not already there.

to stay on topic i have Fire Attunement on Sosuke and I honestly have never seen him not keep it up....same with Zhed....I made him water and he has no trouble keeping up attunements either.

It's not an issue of pulling, or how close to another mob I'm fighting. It's that the AI sucks horribly! At times mine will run into aggro and they all are either set to Guard or Passive. Generally it's the monks that will aggro other groups when they're being chased. The Heroes seem to use the same AI as the monsters and it's bloody annoying.

I've found that Olias makes a better healer than dunky......very strange (olias is n/mo).....so I think I will just make dunky the mm and olias the healer.
