ok, well i know you can get the +30 attribute points when you create a character starting in the Nightfall campaign, but my question is, can my old prophecies character get +30 attribute points somewhere in the Nightfall campaign, from a quest or something? because for some dumb reason you cant get the +15 and +15 from the sunspear dude in Sunspear Greathall, like a Nightfall created character can.

You can only get the extra attribute points from the land your character was created in.

Simple answer,

no, you cannot.
Prophecies characters can only and solely do the 15 attribute quests in the Tyrian desert.
Canthan characters can only and solely do the Shing Jea missions/quest for the 15 attribute points.
Elonian characters can only do the quest on Istan Island.

And the reason is quite obvious, we have a cap at 200 attribute points in total. Doing the quests in other areas and then getting the attribute points would set end with 260 points, which is 60 above max.

Though, I can understand how people could be confused. It's a free to play game, people may "think" that ANet gives more attribute points in each new campaign. Thank goodness this isn't the case.

ANet has taken the high road of "free to play" games in the way they have conducted their business model.

I would have some serious reservations if certain skills or the number of attributes became "extra bonus"material available for purchase only.

But, since the games must be purchased to begin with, we circumvent that issue.

There's a lot of completely free games out on the market, but they usually have hidden costs for any player that would want to spend time playing those games you would need to purchase level cap increases, armor, elite skills, special weapons, etc.

ANet has a much more honest approach and the after 2 years, the business model appears to be viable.
