Aatxe Killer?

Guys,

I just got back to Guildwars after a year long of not playing. The last quests I did was the UW quests but I was unsuccessful back then. Now that I come back and learned about the forum builds, I want to continue on the UW.

I am looking for a build that can kill Aataxes. It does not matter how long or fast as long as I can do it. I search the thread for solo builds and most thing I found was that it advise people to stay away from Aataxe.

Anyway, can you please post a build that can kill these thing? I have a Elementalist, Monk and Warrior but they are outdated and I believe I need to skill capture some more.

If you can help me make a aataxe killer for solo, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

A pretty standard 55 monk can solo Aatxe with not too much trouble. Something like healing breeze, prot spirit, SoJ, Zealots, Bonnetti's, mending, balth spirit and essence bond or blessed aura or you could use something like SoA although your prot probably wont be high enough to get that long out of it. With SoJ and Zealots youll be fine, I think it takes 2 or maybe 3 casts of SoJ to do it though so its not particularly speedy. Just force them to use up their interupts on stuff before SoJ and youll be fine.

If you wanted to go alittle faster I would suggest something like 55 necro/monks with spoil victor people use for boss farming. Something like, spoil victor, prot spirit, heaing breeze, awaken the blood, mending, balth spirit, essesnce bond and something else like vamp gaze or touch or maybe parasitic bond. With both of these you need to know how to handle the dying nightmares but otherwise its easy stuff really. Again dodge the interupts and this is over real quick.

Other than that there are solo trappers I think and there were solo stance warriors who could but im not sure how the changes to stances hit them.

The reason people usually avoid them is just because they are slow to kill and the faster smite farm builds (VwK and the sandstorm ele etc.) cant kill them (mostly they just aren't interested in aatxe only want smites).

Anyway hope that helps,

Spank.

UW solo speed trapper in wiki works fine, kill any group in 90 secs, the grasps in 60-70

Does the old W/N UW solo still work?

Yes, but not so well, its much harder to 'trap' them by the stairs.

I am glad 55 monk can do it but I am too far for that configuartion yet. Does a warrior build back up by a hero healer can do this?

Ty for the advises..

I'm not sure a 55 will be too efficient, Rend Enchantments is 1-sec cast time now so you might have missed that update while you were gone. Pulling every single group back so you can hide behind ghosts would be extremely excruciating.

Echo Dusting is probably the best way, as said it drops an Aataxe group in about 90 seconds, Grasps in ~60 seconds, and Smites in ~40 seconds.
Basically you cast Aecho, Echo, Dust Trap, Echo, Dust, Dust, Barbed Trap. Wait and then cast all 3 Dust Traps again. Then cast the original Dust Trap. Then Echo and the original Dust Trap and the Echoed Dust Trap again. Now you'll have 9 traps which is enough to kill an Aataxe group; if not just let them wander around while crippled and set up another Dust Trap.

Hey Maverick, I'm not sure about the skills you mentioned but hopefully you can send me a link of that build so I can learn more about it. TY.
