Hello, I am new to guild wars and just recently bought Nightfall. I was just wondering if anyone knows a good build for a lvl 16 D/Mo PvE Character.
Note: I have no [E] skills.
Thank you,
Nightfall Awaits
D/Mo build

I have no elites either, but so far this has been working:
Heart Of Holy Flame
Pious Assault
Vital Boon
Twin Moon Sweep
Chilling Victory
Mend Ailment
Remove Hex/Reversal Of Fortune
Rebirth/Resurrect (got Rebirth for free in Tyria)
Went to Tyria and Cantha, never went past noob island in Nightfall.
Max Scythe Mastery, then Mysticism
Hope this helps.

Characters under lvl20 DUNNOT need "builds". Characters under lvl20 need experimenting with as many skills as possible. ANY skill will do fine, when you're under lvl20.
The worse thing at this point that you can do, is use someone elses build and never learn how to actually play the game. I remember when i started Guild Wars; i'd use Ranger with pretty much any skills, and it worked because in low lvl areas anything works (not that PvE in general is difficult, if Mending whammo can beat it).
The only thing i can help you with are tips - study the class, see what strenghts it has, and then increase the strenghts. Dont try to make the class jack-of-all-trades, but do what class is good at, and do it superbly. That being said, dont use horrible skills such as Natural Healing. Dervish is about enchantments. Use enchantments. If you have monk secondary, dont use Orison of Healing like some people do, or you'll see the footprint on your bum after i kick you from my PvE team Use Reversal of Fortune instead.
In short, you dont have to have an insanely good build, no one is expecting it of you. But you do need to think. If you play Ranger and use spells, you'll also see my footprint on your bum Same thing.
Rule of a thumb - dont do what other class can do better.
The exception to this rule is ONLY when you're bored of the class, you explored its possibilities, and you want a bit of refreshment. Then, only then, can you start playing D/A assassins and similiar builds.
Have fun exploring the game.

did any one else notice how contradictory that post by Kali was???
you don't need a build but make sure you use RoF or else.......you don't need to be jack of all trades but use a D/A if you use any secondary....Christ for once I would like to see you actually help some one. Instead of saying figure it out I did....not everyone is afraid to ask for help dude.
Go to the builds thread its stickied on this board so it should be one the first couple of threads. Figure out what skills you have access to and try to tweak your build to the skills you currently have. I started with a D/Mo and as time has progressed I find my self rarely dipping into any of my second professions with the exception of Warrior for wild blow. Thats the best part about the Dervish it has everything you need within its own profession. Want spike Protection use one of the intervention skills, want Massive health Regen used Mystic Regen, Need to be healed as you fight, Vital Boon and Mystic Vigor do a great job. And with a decent amount of points dumped into Mysticism (which should be kept fairly high) you gain health and energy every time an enchantment ends. The trick is finding a balance between just being a tank and absorbing pretty much anything thrown at you, and being able to deal a fair amount of damage. Once you get into the later stages of the game and have more experience using the dervish all that will come to you. And if you have trouble dealing with an area thats why these forums are here to help people who play the game regardless of their skill level.

Hope this helps. There's no reason to use Mend Ailment as a self condition removal when you can use Mending Touch instead.
As for the OP, if you are going for the Survivor title, use Protective Spirit in conjunction with some defensive earth prayers enchantments. Beyond this, just do as Kali suggested and experiment with skills and builds. If you are new to a profession, it's more important to learn your way around to understand what skills/attributes can be used together to give a strong build with stable energy management. Sticking to a cookie cutter build early on will just cause you to fall behind later on when you are forced to adapt.

Not being level 20, i suggest PURE experiementation. Since you are still new, and under lvl 20, i also assume you are not too far into the game yet...
A general idea for a build structure as you try different skills::
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill/Utility/IAS
Utility Skill (Mending Touch, comes to mind)
Utility/Heal Skill
Self Heal Skill
Ressurection skill (or with a henchy/hero team, bring more utility)
Hope that all helps. Honestly, its just about having fun and LEARNING the game at your own pace. As long as you don't lock into any specific build that someone gives you, you will have more potential for learning GW.
GL! and HF! Don't hesitate to msg me in game for any questions!
cheers!
EDITED:: XvArchonvX ahs a point. You don't HAVE to have 4 attack skills. With armor lower then a warrior you can always bring an extra utility/buff skill over an extra attack skill. You can even get away with only 1 or 2 attack skills if you think more protection is needed in an area with tougher monsters. I have the structure a bit.

Ressurection skill (or with a henchy/hero team, bring more utility) You really don't need that many attack skills. As a melee character with low armor, you will likely want to carry more buffing enchantments for protection. Wielding a scythe, you will do plenty of damage with only 1 or 2 attack skills. If you still have open spaces, try fitting in an IAS of some sort such as [skill]Heart of Fury[/skill]
