But I don't think it should spell out doom for those of us who enjoy doing CC.
As how the future classes might be done is still unclear (especially with introduction of new races), it lead to several possiblities. One that I am thinking of is where each of new race would have their own core, which would somewhat follow the basic functions, but still reflect their own individual speciality.
Some brain storming idea includes:
(base on the Racial description found Here)
Human
- Warrior
- Ranger
- Monk
- Elementalist
- Mesmer
- Necromancer
Sylvari
- Druid : summoner/support type
- Sniper : offensive range shooter
- Enchanter : Healer/Supporter/Buffer/
- Fencer : Agile melee / Interupter
Asura
- Alchemist : support/debuffer with potions
- Engineer/Gunner : Range attacker/ area controler /Summoner?
- Warlock : Offensive Mage
- Thief : Sneaking De-buffer
Charr
- Rumbler : Melee Fighter (with claws and fist)
- Hunter : Range attacker
- Stalker : Sneaker Attacker
- Flame-mage : Offensive Mage
Norn
- Shaman : shapeshifter / support
- Beast master : Minion Controler
- Berserker : Melee Attacker
- Rune Smith : Healing / Support / Buffer
Could even done in more advance way, in which the 6 Core of human be consider as the Basic Core, where all race could take (in addition to their own racial proffessions) as 2ndary and/or primary. Could also allow learning of skills and attributes of other race, to take as sub-2ndary (or 3rdary).
(NOTE: This is only a speculation on how future classes might be done)
Well, thats one way I see how GW's race and class could be done. Feel free to add or discuess of this system, and/or post future CC on this possiblity.
